“El Rey is delicious! We got the half chicken Cuban style and tacos! The chicken was juicy and flavorful without a lot of spice which we loved! The plantains that come with it are sweet and soft without being too mushy! So good! The shredded beef taco with delicious - needed a little more sauce but nothing their green salsa didn’t solve!
We normally visit El Rey for their huevos rancheros which is amazing, but today we went for lunch and we will be back!“

“Pizzas are delicious! Best Cuban Pizzas in Houston! Service was stellar too. Atmosphere wise, it wasn't great. Next to a road under repair, no place to seat. I'd suggest a couple of plastic tables and chairs, it would make a huge difference for the better“

“Ate here 2 weeks(ish) ago as part of my anniversary day off. It was amazing. The food was awesome. The people were friendly and put up with our broken Spanglish. There was nothing here that was under a 9 (out of 10) that we tried. The lamb was the star, however. Will go again.
If you remeber the food from Cafe Miami back in the day, you will love this.
UPDATE 2/14/26: the oxtails are fantastic! And I can finally describe the flan. A flan and a tres leches had a baby they loved very much. It grew up and beat all the other deserts in the desert games.“
