“It is a very good place to try the explosion of flavors of Cuban and international food, since Chef Osmany has, in my opinion, the magical hands that manage to reflect traditional Cuban culinary culture. I recommend it 200%; So much so, that I have become a regular customer.“
“The wait staff know they are getting automatic 20% tip, so no efforts in taking care of us were made. Website also says live music/DJ starting at noon for weekend brunch, which there wasn't. That was the reason we wanted to go. Overall food was great.“
“Ashe is a fantastic spot for a delicious meal and a great night out. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, with a modern and stylish design. The menu features a wide variety of options, including classic grilled dishes, fresh seafood, and an extensive selection of drinks.“
“This place not only has incredible food I mean literally incredible food but on top of that customer service is impeccable. I called 20 minutes before closing one evening And wanted 2 rotisserie fully loaded plates and I got absolutely no attitude no rudeness nothing all I got was a smile and a no problem kind of attitude they made sure I was taken care of like I had walked in there at peak lunch hour. Thanks guys keep up the good work.“
“First time coming here. I can say that I will be back very soon. The food is very exquisite taste. The flavors are very authentic and remind me if home cooking. The owner came to our table and introduced himself. He brings a welcoming and positive energy to the establishment. I can say, you hardly see the owner involved with their customers.“
“(Translated by Google) The best Cuban food that I have eaten here, a delight and the price is very good, I loved it, I highly recommend it(Original)La mejor comida cubana q he comido aquí una delicia y el precio está muy bueno me encanto la recomiendo muchísimo“
“The place is beautifully decorated and clean, the food is good and the prices are good, the only thing I dislike is the music, really horrible, vulgar, no variation, just the same genre all the time and on top of that there are like 3 or 4 screens giants that, even if you don't want to, force you to see and hear...hopefully they take that into account, you are going to eat and have a good time, calmly, and next time all you have to do is order the tostones to take away which is not the idea .“
“Unpretentious hole in the wall with amazing Caribbean Creole cooking. Reasonable prices since it is not in a high rent area.We came here because we love the name. The restaurant is named after a popular song by that eternal icon of Cuban music, Celia Cruz. (Don’t tell the estate lawyers cause they’ll shut it down). When here in a Friday night 2 hours before they closed. The menu was limited because they were running out of items for the day. This is a great sign because everything had been made fresh that day.I had the grilled chicken breast with onions while my wife had the shrimp in red sauce. Both were really great. Plenty of fried ripe plantains.“
“I loved the ropa vieja!!! Rice&beans were amazing and yuca was yummy. I ordered a side of sweet plantains, which are my favorite. The empanadas were crunchy and delicious. Now I want to visit in person! Recommend this restaurant. If I could give 10 stars I would!!!“
“DELICIOUS!! We had the Ropa Vieja, Cuban Sandwich and Chicken cordon Bleu. The beans and rice were so flavorful and creamy. The sweet potato fries were crunchy, soft and so delicious just by themselves. The sandwich tasted better than the ones I've eaten in Florida and man, the Mojitos were the best. I am in LOVE with this place. Ropa Vieja, delicious, chicken, delicious. Great customer service and clean restrooms.“
“(Translated by Google) Well, I went for a traditional Cuban meal and there and they treated me very well, the food was well prepared and I ate something that I hadn't eaten lamb meat for a long time in Friscoe, everything was very tasty and when I finished eating I had a very tasty coffee(Original)Bueno fui por una comida tradicional cubana y hay y me atendieron muy bien la comida bien elaborada y comí algo que asía mucho año que no comía la carne de cardero en friscase todo muy rico y al terminar de comer me tomé un café bien rico“
“This was my first time going to a Cuban bakery, and I had no idea what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised by the cafe. Beautiful cakes and pretty pastries were neatly showcased in the display cases. I had a hard time choosing the pastries I wanted, because, firstly they all looked super good. Secondly, I did not understand the language, thus, I had to google all the names of the pastries. The staff was sweet and patient as I took my time to select. The cakes that I got: Dobo (my favorite), Rollitos, and Cabezote were delicious. The sponges were soft and fluffy, and the flavors were good. I got the butter cookies as well but they weren't fresh, and weren't buttery rich. I am not in love with the masa real as the top layer was very hard. I reached the cafe at about 10am on a weekday, and there were only two trays of bread in four shelves. About 20mins later, freshly made bread came out from the kitchen one tray after the other. It is probably best to go in the noon time to have full shelves of freshly baked goods. There are two tables with four chairs on each table available for dine-in customers. Most customers got their food to-go. The cafe is clean with simple decor. Parking is plentiful and free.“
“El Rey is always solid. Great food at a reasonable price. Their chicken tortilla soup is delicious, as well as their tortas and sandwiches. It's not on the menu anymore, but if you ask for the "Hot Acapulco" sandwich they will still make it.(Rotissery chicken with cheese and avocado)“
“I have been eating at El Rey for sooooo many years, I love this location next to HEB off Bunkerhill ! Allen definitely gives 5 star customer service! He is the first person I see when I arrive... always takes my order with a smile and kindness, this is definitely one of the best locations in Houston!!!! Food of course is always on point and super yummy of course!!“
“I've eaten here since I was little. The food at Cafe Piquet is some of the most authentic Cuban food here in Houston... it doesn't taste the same as it did 10 years ago but the yuca with mojo is still delicious. I prepare the congri better at home but the rest turns out great!!!“
