Great place for those that can respect and appreciate the nostalgic. Good place to really slow down and unplug from the fast pace of life. Plus the omelets and pancakes are bigger then life here .

This is an old place and we had just had a torrential downpour. There were leaks in the ceiling, but buckets were put down to contain them and the food was moved from the dining room to the kitchen. The staff was gracious and welcoming, inviting us to take seconds. Their desserts are amazing and everything is homemade and delicious. I had chicken fried steak with white gravy, mashed potatoes l, green beans and peach cobbler!

This is a wonderful old Southern hospitality coffee shop/restaurant inside of the historic Blessing Hotel that was built in 1906.
You purposely sit at large tables that new friends will sit down beside you for a great breakfast.
We sat down next to two locals, 85 and 82, who had wonderful life stories to tell...
I had the Western omelet with a great kick?
Wonderful place full of history from the building to the people...

This is one of those places that have the same menu based on the day. I don't care what day you go, you can't lose. Everything is exceptional.

Praise the Lord and Bless the cook at the Blessing Hotel! It’s pure-D homestyle cooking, take all you want but eat all you take. Expect to sit at a larger table visiting with local folks, sheriffs deputies, and a few rambling souls. Good food is the great equalizer.Numerous veggies and 2-3 mains, kept warm on antique but very functional stoves (photo below) plus tea and dessert for $14!The experience alone is worth twice that and the food is slap yo mama good!Little bite of Heaven along the Texas Gulf Coast.
Vegetarian options: Although veggies may have bacon or other meats in them
Kid-friendliness: Couple of hi-chairs, but parents gotta serve at hot stoves
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps, large restrooms
