“This is a gem of a place located in a beautiful setting of the Hill country, near Sisterdale, TX. I came in late for a bite to eat and a lovely young lady greeted me and took my order. Then Billy himself came out and greeted me and welcomed me. They were so accommodating, The place has charm and was impeccably clean, and the food was top-notch. Turns out the lovely young lady that took my order is Billy’s daughter. Please don’t miss this place if you are ever in the area.“

“The food was amazing. We had crab cakes, steaks, mashed potatoes, green beans, fried green tomatoes, biscuits, pecan pie, chess pie, and strawberry shortcake. The steaks were full of flavor and cooked perfectly to order (we had three medium rare and one medium). Three filets and one ribeye. The mashed potatoes are creamy and cheesy and perfect. The crab cakes are so good I could eat about 30 of them, the fried green tomatoes were crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly in the middle, and the biscuits with butter and honey were perfect. The desserts were fine, but the pies overly sweet and the strawberry shortcake was not bad but not memorable. Skip the dessert and have another crab cake or biscuit if you go here.“
