Sue Ellen and I eat at Cattleman's BBQ almost every week. I recommend it wholeheartedly. I have eaten a lot of barbecue in my life, all over Texas and in other states as well.
Cattleman's makes a traditional Texas barbecue that is outstanding. The meat is from cattle that have been raised and processed locally. Mesquite--and only mesquite--is used in the smoker, which give the barbecue its distinctive flavor.

We came in last night and the waitress was very fast and friendly. Had our drinks and appetizer right away. Free beans that are delicious. Fried pickles had just the right seasoning and crisp. I ordered brisket and double fries my husband got the large chicken fried steak with fried okra and potato salad. EVERYTHING was so delicious! Food came out quick and with large portions! After trying this place I'm wondering how it doesn't have 5 stars!! So good, perfectly cooked ribs and brisket, fries were the best I've ever had, I didn't even know they put sauce in the bag because the meat was so great without it! The people were so kind and patient with my rowdy kids, we will be hitting it every time we drive through.
