We had the sweetest conversation with Mrs. Betty. While photographing the coffeeshop, she came out and instantly greeted us with little gifts. Since the storefront is closed, she wanted to share a little bit of Brenham with us. We love Independence Coffee and although we couldn't tour the facility, we had a great time hearing about this local favorite.

We’ve been drinking Independence Coffee for year. We checked their business hours and decided to make the 2 hour trip to come visit and buy some coffee. We pulled up only to find them temporarily closed for expansion. So word to the wise, even though Google says they’re open, they indeed are not.
