This place is a tiny food truck that you would just drive by if you didn't know about it. The Birria tacos are 10 out of 10. The flavor is spot on. I highly recommend. They have a small shaded patio with fans to enjoy the food in a comfortable atmosphere. I will stop by here every time I come to brenham. Unrealistically good.

At the time of this review, LaJafa has a 4.9 rating. I’m here to tell you this is for a good reason. Flavor, texture, salt levels all are 10/10. Birria tacos were so fire, and quesadillas dipped in the birria au jus is a combination that should be illegal. Criminally delicious.

This is the best taco stop in Brenham, bar none. Al fresco dining plus killer execution ensures you’ll be planning your next trip here before you finish your meal.
Tonight I tried their ceviche special — holy freaking cow it was incredible. The wife got the quesa-taco dinner — four birria tacos with melty cheese and an amazing consume to dip them in. (See pics below)
All in all, it’s our favorite weekend spot, and a must-stop if you’re passing through Brenham Thursday-thru-Sunday.

Food was delicious!! Staff was exceptional!! Outdoor seating was nice on the evening we went. The little bar next door had tasty drinks. The wait for our food was a little long, so don’t expect to be in and out quickly. We weren’t in a hurry and it was nice to hang out, but if you’re in a hurry, you may want to choose another eatery.

Spent a few months in Brenham over the last year and this was my favorite place to grab food. The birria tacos were awesome! I also tried the ramen, the quesadilla, and the tostadas and loved them all. I would often get 1 meal to eat there and a 2nd to eat the next day for lunch. There is also a little bar in the same area to get some cocktails at and there was often a bingo type event going on to support other local businesses. The workers are also very nice. Being that I am from out of the area and they wouldn't see me for weeks at a time, they remembered me each time I came back and were very friendly. Looking forward to my next trip into town to get this again.

The outdoor seating is wonderful, especially on a beautiful day!! The food is sooo good. The staff is super friendly & very hospitable when explain what's in the food (for us allergic folks). Would highly recommend stopped by 😃

LaJefa Homestyle Birria is hands down the best spot for birria street tacos! Every time we visit, the food is absolutely amazing and full of flavor. I always go for the Birria Street Tacos, sometimes with cheese and sometimes without, and they are delicious every time. My wife loves the deluxe tacos, and they never disappoint!
The employees are so kind and welcoming, making the experience even better. While the food does take a little time to come out, it’s because each taco is homemade with care, and trust me—it’s worth the wait! The provided courtyard seating is a nice touch, creating a laid-back and enjoyable atmosphere to savor every bite.
If you’re looking for authentic, mouthwatering birria tacos, this is the place to go. Can’t recommend them enough! 🌮🔥
