We spent the weekend in Brenham and decided to stop in for lunch at Lone Star Southern Grill. We were seated quickly but it took the server at least 10 minutes to to show up at our table, and it was quite noisy. We finally ordered and the food came fairly quickly and was good overall, but the fries must have been sitting, as they were not hot, and a bit greasy. Otherwise I have no complaints. I JUST PICKED MY TO GO ORDER UP 2 PORKCHOPS LOADED MASH POTATOES today 12/21/25...AND OMG ITS GOOD..THE CRUST CRUNCHY AND SEASONED..THE CONDIMENTS FOR THE LOADED POTATOES IS MORE THAN ENOUGH..AND THE SIDE SALAD IS BEAUTIFUL..AND I GOT THE CORRECT DRESSING OF FRENCH

I stopped at Lone Star Cafe in Brenham for the first time on a road trip to Austin, and overall it was a decent experience with a few highlights and a couple of misses.
