We were lucky to have the back room reserved, we got there first and the line was long the whole time we were there. The food was great , quish and fruit so I would have room for the wonder warm Bourbon Chocolate Pecan pie. Great place.

Great sandwiches! But the pies are the real superstars! Friendly people, fresh bread, old school charm.

Very, very busy restaurant. Waited in a long line, but it moved pretty quickly. Food is delicious.

Great portion of ice-cream. Tasted good and service was nice too. The atmosphere inside felt cold.

I came to Brenham for the Herb Festival at Festival Hill, so of course I had to stop at my favorite lunch spot, Must Be Heaven.
On Thursday I tried the Monte Cristo sandwich with jalapeño jelly. For my taste there was a little too much jelly, but that didn’t stop me from devouring it. The broccoli and cheese soup was amazing as always—rich, comforting, and the perfect companion to the sandwich.
On Friday we both ordered the special: chicken spaghetti. And this was not what you might expect—no marinara sauce involved! Instead it was full of flavor, creamy cheeses, and plenty of goodness in every bite. The portion was generous and absolutely delicious.
If you’re in Brenham, this place never disappoints.

We were at a company retreat and ordered a catered lunch yesterday. We did this last year and the food was great. This year it was a 180 in the opposite direction. My table ordered a chicken salad - she has been sick ever since trying to eat it, a French dip, I have never had meat so tough to eat- a monte cristo - all grease. There was not one person out of 18 that we were told enjoyed the food.
I do not write many reviews but thought this time it was necessary.

The club sandwich and soup I had is worth driving 90+ miles for. I love walking around Brenham and stopping by this old school gem. The sandwich was simple but had so much flavor.

Cashier was pleasant but rushed so hard to understand. Chicken and dumplings was canned chicken with peas, carrots, corn, green beans in cream sauce with one fat 2 inch ny 1 inch noodle.
Not the chicken and dumplings I was raised with. Bread pudding was delightful. Too many microwaves for my type of sandwich shop..
