Walked in at 1:40 pm on 1-6-26, wanting ice cream. Person cleaning tables….no hello or anything. Could hear everyone in kitchen area being loud, and obviously everyone was in there. Stepped left of ice cream counter to peak in the back so someone would know we were there. Two people saw me and never acknowledge my presence. At 1:46 pm, we were back at the car and left. I hope next time is better.
Lovely sandwich/ice cream shop with wholesome salads, pies, soups and more. In a comfy spacious diner with prices that take you back to pre-covid.

This cafe is wonderful! I had the French Dip -- the bread was fresh, there was plenty of meat & cheese, & the au jus was definitely homemade.
I also tried the chocolate meringue pie -- best I've heard had. It literally was a little slice of heaven.
The staff was also very friendly & the place has a very cool antiquitie style.
I definitely recommend this spot. It is busy. We waited in line for about 15 minutes, but it was so worth it!

The old time charm and sense of nostalgia make it feel like a step back into a simpler, sweeter era. Everything from the atmosphere to the friendly service adds to the experience. The muffaletta was a standout and absolutely worth the visit on its own. This is the kind of place that makes you slow down, enjoy the moment, and leave already planning your next stop back. Highly recommended.

The restaurant decor is cute, but that was about the only positive for this place. The cashier was rude and charged us for combo meals when we ordered a la carte items. It was obvious she could not care less. When I tried to point out the error, she walked off and never returned. The food was mediocre… Not gross, but not memorable either.
Keep in mind, they will nuke your food in their microwaves right in front of you, which I found to be underwhelming. A heated holding shelf would have made a lot more sense instead of having the food nuked to death. Overall, we won’t be returning or recommending this location.

It was just ok, not worth the wait. The service was like what you would expect at a fast food restaurant. The crust on the quiche was delicious, so my guess is that their pies are great. The quiche filling was tasteless except for sun dried tomatoes clumped together. The sandwiches were just ok. They were out of the special but it was later in the afternoon around 2pm. If your expectations are a cute family style atmosphere and convenient dining in downtown, this is a good place. Just wasn’t impressed with the food.

$70 for 3.5 sandwich combs for lunch!! Wow!! Very disappointing for a BLT with very little thin bacon from the microwave, grilled chicken pulled out of a pot of water and lukewarm broccoli cheese soup and see through, thin and hard rice tasteless chicken gumbo soup. The prices certainly did not reflect the quality or quantity of the food served.

Great option for lunch. My chicken salad and soup hit the spot. Others in my group had the pimento cheese BLT and they really enjoyed it. Need to go back to try the pies.

A very nice place for lunch in Brenham. Our first time in this nice town, half way stop between Ft. Hood and Galveston. Great Roast beef and Pastrami sandwiches with a great pickle on the side. We hit it right at peak lunch time and we had our food and drinks and were sitting down within 7 minutes. Nice atmosphere and great service. Reasonably priced and we Highly recommend!!!

The food and pies are amazing. Atmosphere is fantastic. Only one complaint. I ordered a stuffed avocado with tuna salad. They gave me a stuffed avocado with chicken salad. When I took it back for replacement. The blonde haired woman was not apologetic. Grabbed my plate and threw it in the trash. First off it was not my fault they made it wrong. I over looked her meanness due to the fact this place was so lovely.

After a hot morning shopping through the Round Top market, we headed back into Brenham insearch of a cool place to rest up and eat something easy and not fried, for once. A quick search sent us to Must be Heaven, and boy, did the smell of baking bread that greeted us on opening the door live up to the name! Sandwiches are not the only thing on offer, but it's what we got. Grilled cheese, Monte Cristo, French Dip and a chicken club, served with a drink, chips and the classic pickle spear. All simple, but tasty! Broccoli cheese soup also a winner. Let's not forget the caramel pecan cheesecake and my own key lime pie...delicious. As a sign on the wall says- always room for pie. Order is counter-style and wait to grab and take to your table...and despite the lunch rush line snaking through the joint, it moved incredibly fast. Would definitely pop in again!
