What a wonderful, down home restaurant! Full of regulars that are welcomed by name. We both had the Denver omelets and coffee, and they were delicious. We will definitely be returning every time we visit Brenham. Bring cash, but prices are affordable.

Ever want your grandma's cooking? This is probably the closest you will get without it being your actual grandma. I have been here several times now and every time it's as good as the last if not better. Make sure you have cash because they don't take any form of plastic

Handwritten sign on door - No Credit Cards. I’m glad I saw it before we ordered and the cops came. When I entered the cafe, a waitress yelled at me, “We’re done serving breakfast!” It reminded me of a movie, where some guy traveling the South, ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time. I did notice many of the favorable reviews are posted by Local Guides. Hmmm. Our granddaughter had a much better time at the Bluebell ice cream factory and Shipley’s Donuts.

My family went here because another restaurant was closed. Turned out to be the best decision ever. It was my grandaughter's 2nd. birthday and the waitress (Callie), staff, and other customers made us feel like family. The food is right out of grandma's kitchen and was DELICIOUS. Fresh, homemade soup, juicy fresh burgers, and I enjoyed the baked chick which was amazingly tender-falling off the bone- fantastic. After our meal, the entire restaurant sang happy birthday to my granddaughter over a lit candle in chocolate pudding! It was a wonderful experience. Want a delicious home-cooked meal, won't break the bank, and feel loved like family? Go here and ask for Callie. I can't say enough wonderful things about Santa Fe Restaurant in Brenham, TX.

The servers are rude to customers who don’t tip, they pick and choose. Also the gossiping about customers are so unacceptable , I used to work here for a few months. But the mother is wonderful, but her daughters are unkind, disrespectful, they just mistreat people. I was very kind to them all, but they didn’t like me, probably I was too kind , and not apart of the family.
But it’s really sad how they are, I wish people would be more kind and respectful in this world. I do have a memory problem, so I couldn’t remember stuff. Just please be aware of what you tell them they’re not friends to you. They just want something to gossip about.
My brother and I stopped on our way to Houston. We were pleasantly surprised with the menu prices. The service and atmosphere brought back memories of our youth eating at a local mom and pop cafe!

I was visiting from Houston, and was looking for a place to eat breakfast. Everything was great. I had the ham and cheese omelet with gritz and hashbrowns.The gritz could've been a little better and I definitely recommend the pan sausage, it was great! My friend had 2 overeasy eggs, pancakes, and pan sausage with bacon. Pancakes were fluffy and flavorful. Our waitress was the older lady and she was such a sweetheart. The only downside to this establishment is that it is cash only. I didn't pay attention to the sign on the door before entering so that was my fault. Luckily there was an ATM at the local bank across the street.

I've had a few meals here, and each time, it's been a satisfying experience. Today, I stopped in for breakfast before 10 AM, and it did not disappoint. The pan sausage is a standout and something I'd recommend trying. They also have some solid lunch options, and one of my favorites is the spaghetti casserole. Always a good vibe here, and the staff makes sure everything runs smoothly. I'll definitely be back!
