“The food at this restaurant is very good to the point I eat there at least once a week and unlike other restaurants in Brenham I have never had to send food back or gotten ill from eating at Pioneer. I do want to address some of the complaints about the wait staff. He believes in giving all people no matter the age a chance at a job sometimes its that persons first job and like all jobs we just start out at we fail sometimes. So applause to Mark for giving people a start everyone has to start somewhere so give the kids a break!“

“We travel all over Texas 8 months out of the year from January-September. We try barbecue from TX Monthly’s Top rated barbecues. We recently ate at Black’s and they had NOTHING on HEB’s Bbq and sides. Texas monthly needs to drop in at HEB in Brenham. They will be pleasantly surprised.“
