“I adore this place, I really do. Full Disclosure: If your idea of great Italian food is the fare they serve at Pizza Hut, or if your favorite family restaurant has always been the Olive Garden, this restaurant may disappoint your expectations. But not because Luigi's is disappointing; it'll be because your expectations are. Luigi's serves homey, Little Italy-style dishes that cover the full range of classic Italian-American cuisine. The food is simple, earthy, and satisfying. Everything is cooked to order, so component substitutions are welcome. Any pasta dish, for example, can be served over sauteed or grilled vegetables instead of pasta on request. Alcohol is not served by the restaurant, but patrons are invited to bring their own adult beverages in with them, and the staff is happy to open your wine or Champaign and offers appropriate glassware for each free of charge. Honestly I consider this more of a benefit than a disadvantage, as picking up your own bottle on the way to the restaurant instead of ordering wine by the glass once you get there saves you a small fortune on your dinner bill. I've been visiting Luigi's regularly for three years now, and the service has always, without exception, been wonderful. Luigi's may provide the best dining service in the Southeast Texas region, I kid you not. The staff is friendly and professional. They are also all knowledgeable about the variety of traditional entrees on the menu you may not be familiar with - don't be afraid to ask! Don't be surprised if Luigi's proprietor, Armand, wanders over to your table to personally make sure everything is to your liking. Observing the familiarity he has with so many of his patrons as he flits from table to table has given me the impression that most of Luigi's diners are regular customers. I've come to believe that once people eat at Luigi's once, people will eat at Luigi's often. The menu price points are reasonable for this style of cuisine. It's not a "cheap" restaurant, but the pricing is comparable and competitive with most every other family dining restaurant in the area. Honestly I recommend this restaurant to anybody. Luigi's is probably my favorite restaurant in Orange, if not the whole Golden Triangle. Now that I'm thinking about it, it occurs to me that I'm craving Luigi's Eggplant Parmigiana; I think I'll pay them another visit tomorrow.“

“We were staying at the Quality Inn nearby, and decided to walk over to the mall before going to find a restaurant for dinner. We saw this place in the mall, and decided to give it a try. It was just before closing, but they stayed and made the pizza for us. The pizza was amazing! It tasted "homemade", not like the "production line" pizzas you get at pizza chains. I would definitely go back.“

“We had a large friends gathering and the staff handled our rambunctious crowd perfectly. Food was great, unlike most restaurants, they didn't have an add-on built in tip, and as usual we all gave more than what would have been added...highly recommend.“

“I love the food!! My one and only recommendation is stop using Angel Hair Pasta!! And never use it in a pasta dish you call spaghetti anything. I’ve ordered spaghetti with marinara and spaghetti with meat sauce and both came with angel hair pasta. It does not hold up to the weight or add to the texture of the sauce.“

“Great Pizza, same quality we have always enjoyed from Mazzio’s. Particularly like the deep dish style. The inside could use a remodel. It looks the same as 20+ years ago. Very outdated inside. We use the pickup window and get pizza to go nowadays. I prefer to no longer go inside there. We used to join groups after church there for years. Wouldn’t really consider them anymore due to the better inside options of other places in our area. An update, would change that decision I am sure. Because the food is still great.“
“Best family run Italian in the Golden triangle. It's been there for generations for good reason. If you live garlic try the house dressing. Their dishes tend sweeter than most places, not to heavy or greasy. A good alternative to the chain restaurants along the highway.“
