Great food at a great price AND with great service

Our first visit here. Jackie our server was fantastic. She asked the questions to be able to order our meals. We got the chicken fried steak. Got the brown gravey since we don't eat pork. Everything was delicious. Jackie was a great server. She is a keeper.

Ordered the taco salad. It was quite good. It was served in a tortilla bowl that I would have loved to have eaten but I am currently on a keto diet so I had to neglect that and order it without beans. I would definitely eat here again.

Service and atmosphere were good, food wise, I was a little disappointed, my wife and myself we had a steak dinner plate, steak was overcooked, though and chewy.

It was a really fun experience, I am so sorry about the time we got here. We didn’t realize it was an hour to closing. We'll definitely be back! Thank you for letting us dine. 😭💕

I had a very disappointing experience at Black Bear Diner due to our server, Theo. From the start, the service felt disorganized and unprofessional. We were seated and had to wait for menus, which should be one of the first things provided.

Things only got stranger from there. When I told Theo that I was only interested in ordering dessert, he tried to convince me not to buy dessert from the restaurant and instead suggested that I purchase muffins he had made himself. I found this completely inappropriate and unprofessional. After I politely declined, it felt like he lost interest in serving our table altogether.

He rarely checked on us afterward and never returned to follow up. To make matters worse, my stepfather ordered a coffee that was never brought out. By the end of the visit, we felt ignored and forgotten.

Good service should make guests feel welcome and taken care of. Unfortunately, Theo’s awkward demeanor, unusual sales pitch, lack of attentiveness, and failure to deliver part of our order resulted in a frustrating dining experience. I hope management addresses these issues so future customers receive the level of service they expect.

Decided to stop by this location after noticing a pop up event being held in the parking lot. We decided to go inside to get something to eat. We were greeted by our server Theo. When we sat down I ordered some drinks for my stepdaughter and granddaughter and a coffee for myself. Since we were only going to have dessert, we asked to see the desert menu. Je proceeded to tell us to not order anything off the menu because he had better desserts that he made himself in his car. When we declined, he became rather testy and brought us desert. I never saw him again until I waved down another server to bring us a to go plate. He returned to telle that he had not forgotten about my coffee and the delay was caused because ALL of the coffee pots were dirty. I asked for the check and he placed the card reader on the table in front of me and asked me to swipey card when I was ready. Never saw him again. I had asked for a receipt, but did not receive one. NEVER AGAIN returning to this location
