Breadsmith of Brownsville

Our latest selection was disappointing - mini coffee cake, small berry cake and pack of 6 cookies. Mind you the total for this was $30+ a little pricey but figured we couldn’t go wrong, it’s Breadsmith! We have previously tried their breads and loaves of cakes and they are good.

Very kool bakery with a variety of breads. I got the walnut coffee cake, I really enjoyed that it wasn't super sweet and that the cashier was very sweet and friendly.

The smell of Love and Heaven slaps you in the face as soon as you open those doors, Oh my and then they steal your heart with their sample board. Definitely a bad place to come hungry 😘🤭

This was actually the first time we went by. First, the bread was so hard and dry. It didn’t taste fresh. More like it had been sitting there all week. Even the bread that they usually do for that particular day. All the loaves we got including the free one was dense and hard as a rock. We actually just threw them away. The sourdough bread tasted like it was spoiling already. The pastries we got such as the cinnamon roll, even though it tasted yummy was hard as well. When I mean hard I mean hard even for a knife to cut through. We also got the chocolate croissant, the oatmeal cranberry cookie, reg croissant, and the brownie. All of it was hard. Not as hard as the loaves but still hard for the knife. We got a few to taste to see which ones would become our favorites. All I will say is that it was the first and last time we’ll go. I have no idea what all the hype is about. They didn’t get a new customer here.

Pretty much what I ordered was hard and inedible. There were two employees when I arrived and didnt seem helpful. The blueberry tart jam or jelly tasted from a can, the scone was hard. The brownie was okay but the absolute best thing was the pizza/pepperoni bread. I didn't like the male employee with glasses was rushing me out. It was 45 mins till closing.

Bought several breads such as the croissants, coffee cake, etc. The pastries were dry, not flaky and not flavorful. The reason I gave it 3 stars for the food was because of the free bread loaf you get when you sign up. Not impressed with this corporate chain. The only good thing I have to say was the excellent service from the staff they were very helpful.

THIS IS REAL BREAD!! I can’t tell you how much I love sweets, and baking 🤍 so if you are looking for some amazing, “made with love” bread and cookies, this is it!!

From the moment I walked in, my senses were captivated, but the moment I took a bite out of the cream cheese brioche… I went to heaven!! Can’t wait to be back for more 🔥

My pet peeve with the baker is that they close to early. Other than that, the bread is great. We still need to try more to actually recommend one

First and only time for sweet bread really expensive 4 dollars for a concha i got 4 pieces of sweet bread i paid 16 dollars no way. Other brownsville bakeries are way better for sweet bread. Place its nice, new, have bunch of other stuff.
