A Brownsville classic for over 50 years!! The best carne guisada in the world. The hamburger steak, enchilada or Mexican plate are great. You have to start off with an order of fajita nachos!!

The food could be better. Also to be clear this restaurant does not offer a discount to veterans.

When you walk in the restaurant it smells welcoming and you can tell the love in the food. The waitress was warm and sweet to us. I went for my birthday breakfast and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 10/10 my grandma and pops used to come here when the Coffee shop first opened . I come from Florida and I love this restaurant with my heart.

Horrible. Took forever to get our order. And when the food finally came out they forgot an order. Other food that was received was cold and flavorless.

Was an aweful experience. This place used to be the place back in the day. Now it has gotten super ghetto and sloppy and horrific food what in the world and the service is the worst. $27.00 for 1 flour tortilla with plain barbacoa, which didn't look appealing, much less not flavorful either, and the bbq plate with rice and beans and 2 sodas that was porposterous and a joke. I will not return, I wouldn't recommend this joint, and the food is definitely not worth the prices and the serving worse. A hard pass for this place.
