Great mom & pop restaurants are disappearing in Brownsville & being replaced by national chains. This is one of the few & best remaining establishments. Food is excellent, service is great. Highly recommend it. I especially like the American enchiladas. They are superb.
Went with my elderly parents today. Got sat and all. All through our “meal” they didn’t bother to treat us with the chips and salsa as how everyone else did. My carne guisada plate was full of huge chunks of meat, the least they could do is cut them properly to the correct size as it should be. My mother needed refill and so did my father and not once did the server come to refill. I had to ask for my sons highchair twice as well. I know it’s a busy restaurant, however...read full review
If you do not speak Spanish don't go here, I did as it nearby. Ordered 2 of their special breakfasts to go; 2 eggs, 2 pancakes & ham to go. Took 25 minutes to get 1 box with 2 pancakes, 2 eggs & 1 slice of sandwich ham. Only one waitress of maybe 8 that spoke English ands she did repeated my order correctly. Won't say I'll never go again but not in the next 50 years.
