It’s tradition in my family to order our birthday cakes from Linda’s. Andrea is the sweetest and even stayed a few minutes after closing time on New Years Eve to add flowers on a birthday cake.
My daughter’s birthday cake has been made here since she was born. Even my baby shower cake was an exact replica of what we get her every year. It’s become a tradition. I was a bit skeptical when I heard there was a new owner, but the taste and quality that Linda’s is known for, is still very much in the desserts. Last year for my dads birthday I got a yellow cake with white frosting and pineapple filling. The sponge was dry.
This year I ordered a Tres Leches cake. The worst tres leches I’ve had. The coconut was stringy and overwhelming it tasted more like a piña colada cake. And not cheap.
I’ve been buying cakes from Linda’s since the 80’s but not anymore.
