Mariscos Lauro Villar. (Paredes Ln).

They use bassa for all their fish dishes. I asked for huachinango Moctezuma. It looked like bassa. If they charged me for snapper, but served me bassa… anyway, the flavor was not there. Never again will I visit this place.

bad experience,,no straws, fried shrimp tasted like chicken nuggets, shrimp cocktail had shrimp shells still on, no tortillas (gave excuse that they were out of tortillas because they were getting ready to close it was 6pm and they close at 7pm apparently the last of tortillas were given 2hrs before 🤨) consome was warm closer to cold,music was extremely loud, we were the only customers and yet waitress only came once (was sitting next to cashier on phone) when I got up to ask for a tea refill they had none since other waiter had disposed of it

Service was good. Calamari was very chewy. Fish filet was big and cooked well but very underseasoned. In fact everything was underseasoned. Fried shrimp was so dry and the shrimp tasted old like it was yesterday's batch and just refried today. Never again.

They do a decent job with the food but the service is atrocious. From the cashier to the wait staff, they are rude and unaccommodating. Highly recommend visiting the main Lauro Villar on Elizabeth instead, their food quality and service is unmatched!

Floor was dirty and it was only noon. I had shrimp ranchero but ir wasn't spicy. I have been to the other restaurants and enjoyed them. But not this one

Got there at 6:30 pm place closes at 7 waitress was mad because she was ready to leave. I ordered Sopa de Marisco she brought me sopa de pescado y Cameron “soup of fish and shrimp” I told the waitress she went to tell the cook and she came back saying they were out of pulpo “octopus” ok ill eat the fish shrimp soup mind you its more expensive, OMG the soup was cold I sent it back they still wanted to charge me I told them I'm not paying for it the girl said it was my fault because I came in before closing. I told her you could have told me you can’t heat food up or you aren’t accepting customers. The waitress and the girl at the cash register were rude! They charged me 38$ gave me back 11$ for the soup. I will never go back to this crappy place again!!! If the owner reads this beware of the staff you have the cashier was extremely rude and treats your customers very badly.

Thought i should share a current and accurate review. I went based on such great reviews but I was very disappointed. Our waiter seemed distracted and seemed to forget to bring things we asked for and would bring the wrong things. It is such a shame because i have been to other locations and the experience was pleasant. I ordered a ceviche tostada and i had to request salsas because they only gave me ketchup and salsa casera. The two options after request were botanera and valentina. At the time to pay, the cashier request the pin to the card to key it in herself. There were other incidents where it was noticeable that other clients were unhappy with their order and customer service.

$36.00 for lunch for me and my daughter is super expensive….!!!

La segunda y la última vez que regreso a este lugar. El servicio de la chica que contestó el teléfono esta noche fue muy grosera y unos modales feos. En primero el horario de este lugar en línea dice a las 8pm pero cuando hable me dijieron a las 7pm yo no se porque toman órdenes antes de cerrar si van a tener unos modales muy feos para atender al cliente. Al llegar al lugar recoji mi orden y antes de irme le comenté a la chica si ella era la que contestó el teléfono y me dijo que si solo le dije a la próxima se un poquito más amable con los clientes y me dijo en que manera fue grosera le deje saber que le hice una pregunta sobre un platillo y me contestaba y luego me cortaba como si andaba a la carrera luego enfrente del manejante la muy valiente me dice si soy mujer que diga la verdad allí fue una falta de respeto a mi como cliente y el manejante de no dijo nada ninguno se disculpo ya después que había pagado por mi comida y unas palabritas en cambio me fui al llegar a casa ni note la orden pero fue como no le dieron importancia a mi orden lo hicieron todo a la carrera me dio más coraje al ver que mi orden era un mugrero como pueden ver. Page cerca de 65 dólares por esto! Yo no soy de Brownsville y gracias a Dios que no vuelvo a frecuentar lugares tan groseros como este. No se los recomiendo en especial mientras que esta niña y manéjante estén allí.

Food is good sometimes. Fish is freshly fried and tastes great. Shrimp is a hit and miss, with sometimes it being stale. When you ask a question about your order or ask them to freshly cook it, they look at you strange, and you get that feeling of being judged when they roll their eyes at you.
