Marisco Plate Special was good. It came with a small cup of caldo de marisco, which was very yummy, full of flavor and satisfying, the plate came with 5 shrimp, a generous fish fillet, yummy house, seasoned potatoes and sweet corn on the cob. The shrimp and fish batter was crispy and golden. Service was fast and the waitresses were kind and attentive.
Ricardo’s now has expanded to 3 or 4 franchises in various locations in Brownsville. When they located in the downtown area they became very popular because of the central location near offices and county buildings. Hence, the restaurant was always popular and patrons had to sometimes to wait in a queue. Service in all of the restaurants is excellent and the food is always very good. Their home-made chiles are excellent.Concern: they tend to over salt their food and their soups...
