I tried their brown sugar/rosemary cookies at a social function! Holy smokes!!! Phenomenal!!! I called the bakery to order cookies for myself, as I didn't want to appear hoggish by taking all the remaining cookies at the event I attended. The voicemail said I could order online. Their was a suggestion to leave a voicemail, so I left a message. Never heard back, unfortunately. Also, I do not live in the area, whereby, I can drive over to buy their products. I am in brown sugar agony!

A hidden gem in Brownsville. This centrally located bakery offers an amazing selections of cakes, cupcakes, bars, cookies and more! My daughter has autism and LOVED every second of her bakery class at Sweet Notes Baking Company. The owners are wonderful human beings who take pride in their work -- and it shows. It is always great when buying local also means buying an amazing product. I HIGHLY recommend this place to all of my friends and family. :)P.S. You have to try their pecan bars & brown sugar rosemary cookies -- they are to die for!

guy names sal attended me he was the best worker there very nice and funny I have gone a couple of times i dont regret it at all i love coming here after eating deserts are the best i def recommend to other people! This will always be my preferred bakery over anywhere here in the valley , it hits just like home just like my late grandmother i miss my how my grandma would make these pastries Martha have would be proud of you guys and coming from South Dakota i only come here in the summer to go to SPI and visit my grandmothers cousin which is the closest i have to her we love going???????? i think i have an addiction to getting cookies i have a sweet tooth awh man writing about this has made me cry now oh how much i miss my sweet old Martha i thank god everyday for sweet notes bakery the closest thing i have that taste like her these young folks deserve to be on a commerical i would give them a raise they remind me of my sweet young grandchildren very special place for me i want my kids to grow up here thank you again the people of this bakery you mean the whole world

I ordered a naked cake a little last minute and it was delicious! The owners are attentive & beyond helpful ❣️This cake tasted so fresh and moist. Everyone raved about the richness in such a simple cake. I would definitely order again for future events.

Ordered a 10' Mexican Vanilla round cake with Swiss butter cream frosting. We provided the figures and the cake was decorated beautifully. The cake was moist and held firm when serving. The frosting was very light and not too sweet. Chocolate buttercream was used as tree bark which made for a very fun detail. We picked up the cake and had no problems in transport it was very secure. The cake stayed at room temperature for 2 hours before it was cut and was stored at room temperature. Very affordable and and very photogenic. Only problem was very few leftovers! Will order another cake again.
I appreciate that this bakery isn't like most of the bakery locations here in the RGV that serve mostly pan dulce. However, I think that it is over-priced and that the cupcakes and cookies taste plainly ok. The Mexican vanilla cupcakes were rather small and looked big because of all the frosting and the carrot cake muffins were missing the raisins and nuts that traditional carrot cake has in it. I gave this bakery several tries in hopes of changing my mind but sadly I felt disappointed in the products (especially because of the prices that I paid) the 3 times that I purchased cookies, cupcakes, & muffins here. I personally enjoy the cookies, cakes, pies, muffins, and cupcakes at HEB or even at Walmart because they are not dry and are sold at a good price point. The owners of Sweet Notes are very friendly and nice but I am not reviewing the owners, I am reviewing a majority of the items they make and sell (I did not try the banana pudding, the cinnamon rolls, or the coffees and teas).

This bakery and cafe was such a pleasant experience!!! The owners serve you themselves! I got a full tour of the line up of sweets! The have a coffee lemonade that was surprisingly perfect in flavor. The perfect balance, not too sweet and not too coffee-like. The pastries were on another level. The mexican vanilla swiss merengue buttercream cupcakes were so subtle yet so good and whipped with just a hint of sweet. The pizzelle, the oldest and original cookie, is a waffle like cookie with chocolate drizzle. They had a rosemary sugar cookie and finally these super delicate almost melt in your mouth butter cookies!!! Go to this hidden gem immediately!!!

Iced Coffee is AMAZING. They also offer it with OatMilk. Smooth, robust, not at all bitter. 10/10 Recommend Banana Pudding was also delish - not your box pudding.
