Nice little staple around Bryan/College Station. It was fairly empty in midday. Our waiter was attentive and quick. I wish I had more time to play pool but the food was great anyway.

Its expensive ($32 for an actually-large pepperoni pizza) but delicious enough to keep coming back!

We made a pick-up order. The kitchen messed up our toppings and forgot the drinks paid for with our order. We called the establishment and were met with a dismissive manager who offered no reasonable solutions to their mistake. The manager kept coming up with excuses and never was accountable for any of the mistakes made. The call ended with the manager saying “okay” and hanging up. Okay pizza but the service was horrible, do not recommend at all

This review is made hoping the restaurant can view the opportunities of becoming better.

We were a party of 4 visiting Downtown Bryan and decided to have lunch in the area. When we found two corners offering pizza, we decided to try Mr. G's, even when reviews told us next door pizza was better, we didn’t want to follow other people experiences and gave them a chance.

Customer service:
Needs to become better ASAP. We entered and waited some minutes to be seated, the lady that greeted us took our drinks order, then other lady brought the drinks. Unfortunately when she was handing the drinks she had an accident and dropped half of the cups spilling part of the drinks on me and the other to the floor. She apologized, changed us to another table and brought the missing drinks, which it was the right thing to do.
We could tell she was young and perhaps new in the job; maybe she was feeling appalled; sadly after the incident all the service felt really awkward. She took our order and when she brought the plates and napkins we felt she was doing it in a rush. At the beginning she only brought 4 napkins. When we asked for extra she only brought 2 more. We asked for the ranch order at the beginning with the pizzas; it was brought by the other waitress almost when we were done, then our assigned waitress came with another bowl of ranch. I don’t know if it was her way of having a courtesy with us, but we were almost done and to be honest the ranch dressing isn’t so good or a great option to offer a courtesy to clients, especially when they are almost done.

The pizzas we ordered were brought according to what we asked. The time we waited was ok. The Margherita had really good dough, but in matter of taste, we have tried better ones in other restaurants. The Philly steak pizza was really good (dough and taste). When we were finishing our meal, the lady came with the payment terminal and asked if we were ready for the check, again we felt kind of rushed. She didn’t offer a pre-check, just gave us our total and my husband handed the payment. Afterwards the check was brought and boxed the remaining slices.

We understand errors can be made, but they need to work better as a team and customer service; perhaps they need extra waitresses and to train their people on how to treat clients in different situations.

I was interested in visiting a Friday or Saturday Jazz night, but after today’s experience, I might need to think about it.

Where do I start….Mr. G’s Pizza has been on my Want To Go list for at least 4 years now. Well this past Sunday (10/27/24), I finally got to try their food and I must say I was thoroughly unimpressed.

So boom, before I talk about the food let’s talk about the customer service….baby the poor waiter was struggling. It took someone 5 mins to even greet us… then another 2 for seating.

Now granted, we did come 30 mins before closing, which we were unaware of, especially being first time customers, but still customer service should be consistent throughout the day.

Then, once seated it took him about 15 mins to come back and take our order after he told us to get our order in quick before the kitchen closes, so that was ironic.

Then, once we noticed our food was on the table…I asked him for ranch and he didn’t come back until someone else had to get him.

So to sum it up, it wasn’t their best day when it came to customer service.

Now, the food…let me just say for the first time ever; I wished I was eating Little Caesars pizza, which my family knows is my least favorite pizza. But let’s just say Mr. G’s pepperoni pizza is now my least favorite pizza.

Now, I would be willing to try them out again after researching their menu and socials if available to see which menu items are popular.

All in all, I give Mr. G’s pepperoni pizza a 4 out of 10 rating. The flavor just wasn’t it for me and the ranch also wasn’t a taste I was familiar with.

Now, on to the reason why I gave them 3 stars, well that’s because they had a haunted house on the second floor and my kids thoroughly enjoyed it. So I’m very appreciative of them for doing that. And when I thought we were going to have to pay; the waitress who told us about it said she would take it out of her tip and I thought that was a very beautiful show of kindness towards customers. She went the extra mile, but I’m glad it was free of charge.

I hope that I can try them in the future and give them a better rating.

Kid-friendliness: In celebration of Halloween, they had setup a kid friendly (not too scary) haunted house on the second floor of their restaurant.

We ordered takeout pizza. We ordered the Supreme and we ordered half cheese half pepperoni. We also got the caprese. All the food was really good. Only downside it was quite expensive for those three items.

This was the perfect stop after shopping in downtown Bryan. The pizza was delicious, huge, and made to order. The dessert was also tasty.

I highly recommend stopping in.
