Out of 5 stars, I give The Blue Willow Café 6 stars. I had a terrific breakfast. I wanted to extend my experience so I bought an apple and a blueberry pie!

Great small town vibe with an excellent breakfast! Wren was our server - she was very attentive with a bright smile.

We went on a Saturday morning, heard great things about the breakfast so we were excited. We ordered the pancakes with fruit and eggs. The pancakes tasted like flour and water WORST PANCAKES I HAVE EVER TASTED! The side of fruit was 1 strawberry and the eggs were not fully cooked (which some people might not mind). The waitress never checked on us and the place was not that busy so she could have at least filled my tea once for me! The atmosphere was nice but for $65 for 2 people to eat breakfast that was still 99.9% left on the plate I would say NEVER AGAIN!! The waitress did not even ask us if we wanted a to go plate and we saw many tables leaving the pancakes so we figured a lot of people were complaining and she knew we definitely did not need one! I hate to say this but this place is a BIG NO for me! Worst money I have ever spent! Very very unhappy!!!

Stephanie was our waitress. She worked hard to make sure we had everything we need and the rest of the staff was so nice too. The breakfast we had was so good and plentiful in this charming town. Thank you for the wonderful experience today.

A great dining spot in Burton not far off Hwy 290. The vibe in the place was quaint, as was the atmoshpere. The food and service were both excellent. I'm happy that I stopped in.

A treasure found right off the 290! Lovely restaurant, outstanding food and menu options for breakfast and lunch Fri, Sat, Sun. My husband and I had their sunshine sandwich and WOW! Homemade grilled bread that was like a breakfast grilled cheese with egg bacon and avocado!
Very good service with a dash of sweetness.
Restroom very clean. Music was great-a little modern French and perfectly fitting for this charmer of a cafe! We will visit again soon!

I ate brunch here recently with friends and ordered something I'd never had before. I was unaware of a certain aspect of that dish, which is the standard way to prepare it, and was disappointed upon discovery. They were kind enough to remake the dish to my liking!

From their Google info they show hours of operation from 8am-1pm on Fridays. My wife and I had already had breakfast earlier and showed up at Blue Willow about 10:55am to have lunch. When came time to order they said they serve lunch from 11:30am -1pm. In the past we had eaten lunch items between 11-11:30am at their location. They refused to take our lunch order at 11am and said we had to order from breakfast menu. The owner said “no one around her serves lunch until 11:30am”. I disagreed with her. Apparently she does not eat lunch away from her own place because all restaurants in Brenham and Somerville area serve lunch at 11am. Needless to say we walked out unhappy. 11:30am -1pm is not a very big window for lunch when you opened at 8am.?

Blueberry pancakes were fantastic. As was the avocado toast. Clean, nicely decorated cute little hidden gem off the beaten path. Ask for Molly and she’ll give you excellent suggestions.

Cozy and clean. I wanted to try their pesto noodles and at 12:30 on a Saturday they were sold out so you will want to call them first and confirm if that’s what your heart is set on. They didn’t have any croissants for my chicken salad sandwich. I don’t eat white bread, homemade or not. Not only that the size of the bread made it challenging to even p/up the sandwich only to take a bite and have everything fall out. A tri-color bow-tie pasta salad would be ideal w/sandwiches on a hot day. Their FB menu is outdated and nobody knows what’s going on w/uploading a recent menu

Absolutely wonderful! Food is amazing, love the music, the decor, the dishes, and they cater to kids so nicely. We had the holycado, the balsamic blackberry French toast, the kids pancakes, and the baked oatmeal and loved every bit of it.
