We are from WA state, traveling in our RV. I guess WA state needs to get with it, because my entire family agreed, this is the best Mexican food we’ve ever had! I also had Lilies salad, amazing. The nachos were fabulous too. My husband said “the best Spanish rice he’s ever had”. My daughter had chicken fingers and fries and proclaimed them amazing.Parking: Steep driveway going in, but totally doable.Kid-friendliness: My daughter LOVED the chicken fingers and fries
While there aren't many options, in Burton, Los Patrones is hardly considered settling or a default choice. Prices are a little high, but the portions are HUGE! Plan on sharing or asking for a box. The queso and salsa are also quite good and easy to fill up on (so I hear :) ) The chili relleño with chicken, and the stuffed avocado are some of my favorite dishes here. We had one order of steak fajitas with jalapeno, and one order of shrimp fajitas. Easily the best fajitas we've ever had. They're not shy with their margaritas either. If you're in Round Top and have a knack for Tex-Mex, try this place. Staff are really friendly, the building could use some upkeep, it was hard to spot at first.
