“A group of friends stopped here while passing through on a road trip. We ended up spending over an hour visiting with the owner, Carl, and he was a generous and friendly host. We came for the coffee and stayed for Carl. His knowledge and passion for making good coffee and sharing it with others was impressive and endearing. Coffee was delicious!”

“Perfect little winery for us to hang out a Saturday afternoon and enjoy with a group of friends drinking wine and talking stories and eating food! We could bring our own food and the staff let us know we could sit inside or outside . Outside was great with the field views and soaking the December sun in..-and drinking wine . We then went inside and that was equally comfortable ! The tasting went great with friendly service and we were able to hang out and talk in such a friendly and inclusive space . Had such a great time here and will definitely return”

If you're in Round Top and have a knack for Tex-Mex, try this place. Staff are really friendly, the building could use some upkeep, it was hard to spot at first.”

“Popped in for coffee just minutes before closing on Saturday. The coffee was exceptional. Vanilla latte was as good as ones I’ve enjoyed in Belgium/Italy/France. Owner was on site and very friendly. As a 5th generation Texan, I’m so glad we have a place like Round Top and Round Top Coffee Shop.”

“Real nice BBQ joint. Full service Friday-Sunday. Wednesday and Thursday is just sandwiches (refer to menu picture) Half rack of ribs were fall of the bone and i’m pretty sure it’s a house made BBQ sauce. Can’t go wrong here. It’s definitely worth a slight detour to experience this. I love these hole-in-the-wall side of the road type spots and this is hard to beat. Real legit Texas BBQ”

“My sister and mom live in Austin I live in Houston so we meet in Burton for lunch on occasion. Our regular Mexican food place was under maintenance so we needed to find somewhere fast. Paw paws to the rescue. The food was amazing! From fried pickles, fried green tomatoes, burgers and veggies were fantastic! The gal who helped us was so friendly. Hate I can’t remember her name. Paw paw made us feel special and we will definitely be coming back!”

“I am trying to pick off restaurants from my "want to go list" every Saturday, and this one was worth the drive to the country..The parking was fairly full, but there was plenty of seating. Our waitress handed us menus and brought water while we looked over the selections. My wife got the luncheon chicken fried steak and I ordered the patty melt..Our food arrived promptly, and it was very good. Besides being delicious, my wife appreciated the smaller portion. She still struggled to finish it. My patty melt was great as well. I too had a hard time joining the Clean Plate Club..It's a bit of a shame, because their pie case was very tempting..This will be a prime location during the Round Top Antique Show or while bluebonnet hunting. Our experience was excellent and we'd be sure to stop when near.”

Stumbled upon this place while I was driving around exploring the area and my lawd, MY LAWD, it doesn't disappoint. Aside from having a healthy supply of ice cold Lone Star beer, they have some delicious food.I got their mushroom Swiss burger with seasoned fries. It was amazing! The owners, a husband and wife team, were super friendly and welcomed me right on in. This'll definitely be where I show up on my days off and where I bring my friends.This is a hidden gem in this area. So do yourself a favor and stop on by. You'll not be disappointed!”

We ate here twice during our 4 day stay in Round Top.The Brussel sprouts are an absolute must- some of the best I’ve had.We also enjoyed the salmon, tenderloin, blue cheese burger, key lime pie (GF), mushroom appetizer, as well as some delicious cocktails/mocktails.Everything was extremely well cooked, the food came out very quickly, and the service was top notch.We are both inside and outside, both were lovely.HIGHLY recommend!”

Been trying Mexican Street all over the western United States for the last couple of months and this is far and above the very best I have ever had! Not sure what the secret ingredient is but the crumbled Takis on top sure make this dish pop! Very friendly management and staff. Little out inside when they get very busy but that is to be expected”
