The menu has a fantastic selection, with everything from tacos to burritos packed with flavor. The tortillas taste fresh and homemade, and the meats are perfectly seasoned. I highly recommend their carne asada tacos – they were juicy, tender, and flavorful! The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel like family. Locals love this kind of place, and it’s easy to see why. Affordable, delicious, and authentic – this spot is worth every penny. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“Was down in Texas and a cousin took me here for breakfast. I ordered the 16 oz chicken fried steak with green beans and mashed potatoes. Beans were fresh cooked like just out of a garden. Mashed potatoes were real potatoes and also very good. Chicken fried steak came in two pieces. One turned out to be enough! But I gladly ate the other one for dinner that day. It was all delicious and reasonable priced for what you got. Staff was very friendly and attentive. My only disappointment was when I saw someone's order being delivered to their table and I saw the onion rings and regretted I didn't have room to eat them too. They were large and they had nice crunchy breading on them just like the chicken fried steak. Breading was crunchy and didn't come off the steak while cutting the steak. Very well done. I knew something was up when he pulled up and the parking was very full. Now I know why. Will I go there again? Definitely when I am in the area. You should go as you won't be disappointed and you sure won't be hungry when you leave!!! Oh. I tried fried pickles dipped in ranch dressing for the first time. Not bad!”

A huge shoutout to our waitress, Vivian, who was sweet, attentive, and welcoming\. She made us feel right at home from the moment we sat down\. The owner also personally stopped by our table to make sure we were well taken care of and even took the time to say a prayer with us\. That kind of genuine kindness and hospitality stays with you long after the meal is over\.

“Went here two mornings while we were in town and loved the latte and the sunbutter banana toast! Had the goat cheese toast but didn't enjoy it as much personally. My husband had the cappuccino and the cold brew and preferred the cold brew. Only regret is that they weren't open Monday when we left so we couldn't sit out on their patio and enjoy coffee!”

“We wanted to check out the place with the new owners and the food was amazing!! The cheese sticks were enormous and exquisite (according to my daughter). I got the salmon, sweet potatoes fries, asparagus, & green beans. I’m allergic to dairy and they were able to accommodate me without skimping on the taste. My salmon was cooked perfect (I like it medium). My husband had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a big piece of cornbread. Everything was cooked well & tasted great. My daughter also got the tomato soup and liked the taste but she personally didn’t care for the creaminess of it. We can’t wait to come again soon!! We sat in the Cowboy Lounge with the AC!”

they have quail!
have stuffed avocado with your choice of meat!

they have chips and salsa with either a red sauce or green sauce

they have separate restrooms they're absolutely clean for men and women

plenty of parking around it next to the Texaco here off 290

they served grilled krill hot fajita style with lots of sauteed onions and rice which came out magnificently for me I also heavily recommend the red sauce I've had a nice kick and spice to it

My mom loved it and definitely doused it on her stuff to avocado with chicken which was absolutely superb along with their rice which was definitely higher quality rice worth every for every penny

plenty of indoor parking but heavily recommend us our customer our servers or waitresses were absolutely phenomenal we had next to no wait did not take very long for my order then again we did come on a Monday afternoon when it's probably a little bit slower than usual :)

once again I haven't had quail in a very long time to be able to get two grilled quail for under 20 bucks that was this high quality along with plenty of sauteed onions and the sauteed onions I cannot say enough was the nice touch on top of it made it worth every dollar highly recommend it will definitely come back and probably come back for their stuffed avocado which also is just absolutely superb :)”

“This place is the bees knees. My wife, daughter and I stayed here for two nights after dropping our son off at Camp Lone Star in La Grange. We decided to post up at The Vintage Hideaway instead of driving all the way back home then making the trip again less than 48 hours later and MAN are were we quite pleased with that decision. Coming in early June, we basically had the entire property to ourselves. We stayed in house #2 "Yellow Rose" and this "tiny home" was a real treat. The room is surprisingly spacious, with great air conditioning to take cover from a warm Texas Summer with updated amenities including a sink, microwave, fridge and freezer that allowed us to bring some of our own snacks/food while still being able to enjoy the local eateries for dinner time on both nights. We are a super active family, so it was really nice to get outside and walk around multiple times during our stay with our daughter to enjoy the sunsets, the wooded areas and even some wild rabbits and deer! I was telling my wife, but The Vintage Hideaway is such a great location to come to disconnect and just enjoy the Texas country side. We didn't spend much time watching television or using the 5G internet they had to offer but rather getting outdoors, exploring the quite, quaint town of Round Top and just enjoying nature. We'll definitely be back in the future. Thank you Eva and Bryan for accommodating us!”

“I think the restaurant is very good. One of the best in Giddings in my opinion. Although she's not overly friendly, I think it's just because of a language barrier. They both work very hard and we appreciate eating here.”
