The Van Zandt Country Club offers an enjoyable golfing experience in East Texas, with a moderately challenging course and gorgeous scenery. However, recent reviews suggest some inconsistencies in the course conditions, with issues such as uneven greens, bare spots, and sand traps needing attention. Additionally, the lack of a beverage cart and slow service at the grill have been noted as disappointments. Despite these concerns, the course is generally well-received, with friendly staff and a great overall atmosphere. Golfers are advised to be aware of any ongoing course maintenance or service challenges when booking tee times, but the Van Zandt Country Club remains a popular destination for a round of golf in the region.
