Abe Japanese Restaurant

I visited this place for the first time for my wife's birthday last night and it was amazing! We came in and were greeted and seated at a booth where I was able to put the order into a QR code website and pay immediately upon ordering. Even then, the staff was super sweet and attentive and the food came out hot and fast! Super grateful for the comped pork belly my wife received as well, it was super delicious! We also tried the Salmon, Udon, Fried Dumplings, and the Kimchi Katsu– I can't even pick a favorite! ❤️

2026 UPDATE: I ordered in a few days after the Winter Storm and the food was good, but there were a couple of pieces of shredded metal or aluminum in my Bulgogi. This is a first, but they were so thin and mixed into the food that I didnt see them and chewed on one of them (that I was able to notice) before feeling it and spitting it out!
I fished through the rest and found more and that was terrifying. I'm praying I didn't eat more pieces of metal.

5 Stars 2023:I ordered the Kakuni Ekiben and Peach Sake. It's my first time in and it took me a few minutes to pick what I wanted on the order screen, but I love that you can use the screen and it has pictures. I'm sooo full. Gratuity is added into the final price. I paid $25.52. I'll be back☺️

We arrived and asked to be seated in a booth. We ordered beers and food through the kiosk, which felt odd since it asked for tips before the food even arrived. I thought the food was decent. The restroom was dirty, and the trash can was overflowing.

Highly recommend. Authentic as lived in Japan 10 years and wife from there. All items were tasty, delicious, fantastic, and made my wife’s day to have authentic food and soba noodle on New Year’s Eve. Great food best we have had since leaving Japan. Definitely recommend. We had Kakuni, Sunomono, Okonomiyaki, Gyudon, Tempura Soba, Curry Udon, Spicy Pork Bento, Karaage Chicken,Takoyaki

This place is amazing. Probably been here a dozen times at this point. Spicy gyoza are amazing. Service is quick.

Extremely overpriced. Food was ok. The chicken katsu was a little overcooked, greasy and burnt for my liking the udon combo wasn’t worth it imo. No one checked up on me to see how my food was either.

You have to order your own food from an i pad at the table. Minimal cost tact from server or help. Then they want you to tip before you even get your food.

Was not what I expected. Heard lots of great things about Abe but it was just okay for us. Service was okay, food came out in a reasonable time. We ordered on an iPad that was on the table. Appreciated how the menu had pictures of the items for a lot of their food. Okinomiyaki was delicious though. Tables in the middle share seats with the table behind with no back support. Sit on the booths if you want back support.

Staff came off as rude, maybe I just caught her on a bad day. Menu prices don’t match what’s online. Please remove the asking for a tip from a self serve kiosk for to-go food. Like what sense does that make? I put my own order in and then I tip you? Ok cool lol

Food was good though, it may be good enough to come back and deal with the slightly rude service.

The wait was a little long, longer than the estimated time from snack pass.

I’ll be back for a follow up visit. Great potential in this place.

Update! The new sake don is F'n guuuuuuuud! if you like salmon you will love it! Oh Men OH MEEEEEEEEN! the New ABE STEAK IS FKIN GAME CHANGER!! when the server showed up with the sizzzzzzzilin steak i almost passed out 2nd the smell filled the whole dine area and it was phenomenal! And when i cut into that steak that bish was buttery smoooth like baby butt! Oh men and the home made sauce was the cherry on top! And and and if you mix the creamy corn, rice and the steak sauce its an another menu on your plate!! Try the steak you wont be disappointed! Also the tamago katsu maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan crunchy outside and hot sweet egg inside i fkn love it!

My wife and I finally had the chance to try this Japanese restaurant, and it was a good experience. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with a warm welcome and seated immediately which was great service. The one thing I would recommend is the seating situation for those that have to sit in the middle of the room where there is no back support and you are basically sharing a seat with someone. Another caveat is the payment option. It's great that all the booths have a tablet you can order from which makes it very convenient, but the fact that you have to pay up front before you even get your food can put a negative feeling on some people.
Overall, it was a great experience for us and if you're looking for a place that has quality food and a HUGE portion, we highly recommend visiting this place at least once!
