Charm Juk Korean Porridge

First time trying this place (and porridge overall), and I ordered the Beef Juk. It has to be one of the best spots around. I went on a 100-degree day, and despite the heat—and eating a bowl of hot porridge—it was absolutely worth it.

I already know this place is going to be unbeatable in the winter. The portions are incredibly generous, and every bite is packed with flavor.

I’d highly recommend this place and will most definitely be returning.

Recently my mom fell ill and through her recovery we often got her the Fish and Chicken Juk from Charm Juk. We also got the Beef Bulgogi Bento Box for the rest of us while nursed her back to health. The hostess and staff were so kind and gracious, thank you for all your support! Charm Juk is my mom's favorite restaurant around Dallas, and we can clearly see why! 😊

We got the vegetables juk and pine nut juk. Both were delicious. I wish they have more savory vegetables option dishes for vegetarian. Server was very courteous. Place is very clean. Highly recommended!

Quaint shop just outside HMart. Ordered Chicken Juk and Shrimp and Shiitake Juk. Server was courteous, quick, and explained yummy side dishes. Just was just what my body needed to fully recover from a head cold. Nourishing and filling without feeling stuffed. This will definitely be my spot of choice when I crave a healing, comfort food.

Their porridge was exactly the kind of warm, comforting meal I needed. It is surprisingly difficult to find a place that serves properly flavorful Korean porridge (juk), but this spot absolutely nails it. The texture and taste were spot on—authentic and soothing without being bland. We also tried the seafood tofu soup. It had a good depth of flavor and plenty of tofu.

When even I have the flu I always get this delivered or have the spouse pick up some Juk.... the service and food is great and easy.

I've dined in before and I get takeout regularly. Healthy and wholesome rice porridge with a variety of different ingredients. The first time I went I was shocked by how different the chicken juk tasted compared to the vegetable juk. The broth is very high quality and there's a surprising amount of variety

Delicious food, locally owned and very welcoming owners! They’re known for their porridges, however I’ve recently been eating their bento boxes and they’re quite filling without giving you that uncomfortable satiation. Clean and filling.

I tried many different cultures variations of rice porridge. I have to say Charm Juk’s Korean porridges are very delicious. It’s not watery and it’s a thicker consistency, packed with flavor from the protein option. I highly recommend their oyster or abalone porridge. It comes with mushroom, bean sprout, and korean side dishes to complement the porridge. I will come back again!

Very delicious food!

Always get either bento box or hotstone with my wife.

Food never upsets our stomach and server is very friendly as well.

Service might be a little slow compare to other restaurants, but everything taste fresh and makes us crave their food whenever we feel like Korean food.

Would recommend 100%.
