Food: I've heard ppl say that the sushi here are bangs for your bucks. But for me, that wasn't a factor I cared so much about. I think the sushi is ok. I don't love it but I don't hate it. Do I find myself going out of my way to get sushi here when I crave for it? Nope. I think the biggest ick for me about this place is how massive the sushi rolls are. I usually like my sushi bite-size. Ambiance: such a cute spot to impress someone on a first date. Love the artificial cherry blossom tree. I like how the restaurant arranged the seating arrangement. If you're lucky, you can sit around the tree and take some cute photos. I like how they incorporate a bit of Japanese culture by using wooded seats & futon cushion. Service: standard. It does get quite busy during dinner time.

A friend of mine brought me here when I first moved to the area and initially, I fell in love with this place and told everyone how good it was; however, my recent experiences have really left me wondering if I'll come back again. The quality of the salmon at this place is amazing but this is genuinely one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. You will make a reservation and still have to wait 45+ minutes, people just walk in and take your reservation at times which will still left you waiting, if you try walking in it's 1.5-2 hours wait, if you come alone they won't seat you at the bar because they "only seat in pairs," they pay absolutely no attention to you if you're not a regular customer, and I've noticed the 15 piece nigiri limit on Salmon Wednesday doesn't apply to everyone. This makes me sad to write because I love supporting local business and this is super great sushi (especially the salmon) but no one should be treated like this, let alone a paying customer.

It could've been better but tuna was definitely not good the day we went. It was evident care was taken to try to mask the fishy taste of akami maguro instead of just throwing it out. Otoro was more of a chutoro as well. Kanpachi was clearly the winner but other items were subpar. We spent ~$300 and felt that the restaurant needs to just throw the bad fish away vs. trying to do stuff to it and save / sell. Consistency is super important for us and unfortunately we are disappointed and most likely won't be returning here or Yujo because of this experience.

Salmon Wednesdays have changed. Sometimes the nigiri is good, but sometimes it’s just ok. They already prepare most of the salmon nigiri, so it doesn’t taste as fresh it seems. Overall though, the value is great for what it is. I’d recommend also going on another day besides Wednesdays. Their other nigiri and handrolls definitely satisfy my sushi cravings.

We stopped in for an early lunch and it was nice and quiet. We came by after a salmon day (Wednesday) so they had sold out and didn't have all the items on the menu, but we got a really sampling of items. I absolutely love hand rolls - the crunchy nori is just perfect. Our food was paced (since we ordered pretty different things) and was great. I had the five hand roll combo (crab, tuna, salmon, chef's choice & your choice - scallop) and a STU nigiri; my husband got several nigiri, a roll and specialty spicy scallop hand roll - which he loved.

One of my favorite sushi spots in DFW! It's a cute little restaurant that's dim with a small sushi bar where you can see the sushi chefs prepare dishes. Service is quick and friendly as well! I've came here a few times for their salmon Wednesdays already, and also on a different weekday when I ordered omakase. Their salmon wednesdays are soo worth it but be prepared for a long wait unless you come soon after they reopen at 5. I'd estimate the rush starts around 5:30. There's a 15 limit for nigiris, but they also have discounted hand rolls and sashimi on salmon Wednesdays. My favorite salmon nigiris are the aburi salmon, king salmon, and fatty king salmon. If you love seared salmon, get the aburi salmon! My friend and I inhaled our 15 nigiris so quick and ordered 4 additional hand rolls each. Their fish is fresh and the food is deliciousss. I highly recommend trying this place out, especially on a Wednesday!
