Went through the drive thru during my lunch and placed a simple order of sandwich with a drink and sides. I was told to wait in the front, which I happily obliged. The order ended up taking so long, eating the entirety of my lunch.

They did not apologize or show any civility when they finally did give me my meal. Just handed the bag over quietly.

I didn't expect a refund or a dessert item or anything of value. I was hoping for, at the very least, an apology for the wait. Not even that.

The service seemed distained and uninterested in consumer care. They did not smile or show any patience. I get its a fast food job, but part of the job is hospitality

My Sunday Popeyes Ritual Turned Sour

For two years, I've had a tasty little tradition: the Sunday special at Popeyes. It's simple – two pieces of chicken, a side, and a drink for around seven bucks. A steal, right? Well, that's what I thought until yesterday's visit turned into a master class in customer service gone wrong.

When I placed my usual order with Maria, the manager, for white meat chicken, she dropped a bombshell: "The daily meal is dark meat only."
Two years of ordering the same meal, and suddenly it's dark meat only? When I asked since when this had been the policy, she simply ignored me and rattled off my total instead.

Here's where it gets interesting. When I pressed for an answer, Maria pulled the "I'm the boss" card, insisting it had "always been dark meat" at her store. Now, as a former Popeyes manager myself, I knew exactly what was happening. Someone had overcooked dark meat pieces, and instead of running a manager's special (the proper solution), they were trying to force customers to take the excess.

I switched my order to a regular 2-piece dinner just to avoid the back-and-forth, only to be told I'd need to wait six minutes for white meat. At that point, I'd had enough and asked for a refund.

The real shame isn't just the deception about the Sunday meal – which I've been enjoying with white meat for years – it's what this says about leadership. Back when I managed at Popeyes, we solved inventory issues honestly. We didn't mislead customers or make up policies on the spot. This incident speaks volumes about who they're putting in charge these days, and frankly, it leaves a worse taste in my mouth than any overcooked chicken ever could.

Red beans and rice were only warm on the bottom. They had no flavor of the original taste of Popeyes red beans and rice. They taste if if they were cooked yesterday sit out all night. Will never go back there

Horrible experience after spending $25 on my food they forgot half of my stuff. I should have checked the bag but it was a school night and I was trying to get my daughter home. I would never recommend anyone to go to this location
