I ordered two orders of tenders and all I got was 6 pieces of trash left overs. One of my orders look like someone was already picking at it. If I didn’t live 30 min away I would have gone all the way back. This was a waste of money and time won’t be going back there again. I paid 30 bucks for this. Just sad

Ordered 2 chicken strip meals and they gave us what I’m guessing was the little chicken pieces from the bottom of the basket. Thin dry and looked picked at. Tried to call to speak to someone but the number listed for bush’s is no longer in service so this is what I’m stuck with for dinner.

Probably the worst experience at a Bushes restaurant we've ever had. We usually enjoy the occasional dinner but tonight was horrible. We stopped there around 4 today and the two ladies working had no sense of urgency they looked at each other like are you getting them. They walked inside and one finally came back out. She was polite, took our order brought it out in a timely matter. We get home the rolls were burned, the chicken was tough, the Mac and cheese had no flavor and the red beans and rice were disgusting. The beans were literally canned refried pinto beans under dry white rice, no flavor and cold. Absolutely the worst Bush's we've ever been to. Do not recommend.
I just spent $30, and my food was cold and not fresh.

Went again tonight, everything is so good and fresh. Lady was so kind. (Don't recall her name) Ahhh she was there around 8:30 pm. Will definitely be back for her service and fresh tenders, sides!

The prices are getting pretty high post covid 19. The chicken is still good and flavorful. I get the gallon of sweet tea often and that is great.

Strips were fresh but fries were so hard. Can’t understand when it was lees turn an hour after they opened and lunch time as well. Drive thru wait was so long. Would have called to complain about fires but we were passing through Castroville on our way to San Antonio.

Did not enter the restaurant so can't make a comment on that environment and didn't taste the food so can't evaluate that either. However, going through the drive through, I can't help but feel like I'm being scammed so I suppose this review is aimed more at corporate big wigs who for some (perhaps cunning ploy) reason don't list prices at drive through or on website. I ordered a ten piece w/ two sides. Prices aren't listed for any items on wall-posted menu so I asked person taking my order the cost. He did not know & couldn't tell me. I assumed that it would be comparable to other fast food chicken joints and just placed the order. SURPRISE! Wait person returned with order when I am then informed that it would be $41 and some change, roughly $15+/- more than most other places. I refused the order promptly. What's the big secret and why isn't information about prices up front plain & clear? I wonder how many (non regular) customers who have no idea what their purchase will cost until the bag of goods is placed at their car window.

Guy working the drive thru said it would take 15 mins for the tenders I ordered. I asked if they had fried chicken ready as I didn't want to wait. He said yes 20 minutes later got my order. Drug test your employees.

The place was okay. Nothing special. The staff was friendly, but no real motivation for customer service.

The server used my card to pay for another order, unauthorized, and we were the only customers there. I’m guessing it was for himself? And it took a long time for the server to bring out the lukewarm food.
I went through on July 10, 2025 made my purchase. I checked my bank account the the day to find my card had been ran twice 30 minutes apart. Called the bank to report the issue to find they tried running my card a third time but was fortunately declined. All three attempts would have been over $200. Tried to call the store about the issue to discover the phone does not work.
Food is ok just wanted to put this out there for others to make sure you check out your purchases.
