I have basically only left nice reviews in the past but the owners response to my wife is the worst customer service response I have ever seen. In the past four years I have been taking friends and family to this restaurant because of the food but after our experience this past Saturday and response, I will never go there again and will tell everyone I know about 1432 cafe….dont go! We did wait a very long time and watched other tables that arrived after us get their food. I had multiple refills of coffee and we finally asked when our food was coming out and were told they are still working on it…..we both ordered pancakes and two eggs and that takes a long time? I got up and told the hostess we have been waiting too long and offered to pay for the coffee we drank….no apology or I’m sorry or don’t worry about paying for the coffee. I see your responses from past reviews and you need a lesson in customer service. The customer is not always right but your responses are just horrible. You can take an upset customer and win them over and build a strong connection and a more loyal customer or continue to do what you do and send people away upset. I did not cause a scene or raise my voice….YOU LIE…I paid for the coffee and quietly left and went to Einsteins

Walked in , got seated in 2 min and gave our order at 11:39 , got coffee and juice at 11:42. Then waited till 12:28 and no food. Turns out order was never put in, so we stood up to leave and the manager made us pay for the coffee and juice . ( juice that we never touched)

Horrible service and do not care for customers.

There was no drama, we left quietly , my husband runs marriotts and is very well aware of customer service . He walked up to the front desk lady who seemingly didn’t care, and he said we have waited too long and people that say after us got their food, so we would happily pay for what we consumed and we left. Your front staff never stated an apology or an estimated time that we can expect the order after waiting (as per you 22 minutes ) as per our time (40 minutes) .
You see the problem here is not paying for what we consumed, it was the effort that your staff never put in to retain our business which may not seem a lot.
Also your time stamps are internal not something we did, so please ask your staff why was the order placed late. That juice was served with the order we placed so seemingly we got our drinks way before the order was placed strange don’t you think.
Nevertheless thank you for your time in responding.

They have absolutely no system for sitting people.
They never gave a wait time and sat two couples that came after us and said they were planning on sitting us the bar even though we said first available. When I brought this up and ask if we were still on the list I was agreessivelu responded with “we are waiting for a table at the bar for you since you said first available” and other people said
Main area. Really. You penalize people that are willing to take first available. The aggressive hostess the. Told us to go someplace else. She was aggressive Nd I was just inquiring if we were on the list since others were being seated first.

So I ordered a Western omlete and I called to management that my Western omelet has to much green peppers. I swear it was like 1 1/2 cups of green peppers in it. Telling me this is their recipe and this is what is in a Western omelet. No apology, like it was done like this slways, she offered to me to order something else. And I still had to pay for at discount a horrible Western omelet that practically looked green. I've been coming here for a long time. Not anymore...

Everything was great till our food arrived. One of the servers accidentally dropped a syrup cup on my in law. After all of the apologies, no discount. Would have been nice if they automatically taken the initiative.

Ate in the Bar. One or 2 people can almost always be immediately sorted in the bar. Anthony took care of me from the ordering and delivery of a western 3 egg omelette to frequent coffee refills. The food was enough for 2 people. This is a neighborhood place for me. Is this a polished, posh, snooty restaurante? Nope! Common folks, good manners, and good food!

I applied here for a simple job,talked to the assistant manager who was very disrespectful because I said that online there was a text that said to come at 8:30 am to 2pm .So I show up and she says that we didn't text that.Like your a manager!!! Do you job correctly.How did YOU even get hired!?

My wife and I have been going here for years and we went in today for breakfast 8/24 around 9:15 and we were very disappointed. We got the churi migas with potatoes and rye toast and the toast was warm but not toasted, potatoes were cold and the eggs were runny. We also noticed the drastic change in portion size. We asked for a manager and explained what was wrong and received no apology just can I get you something else and when we said no she took our plate and left, the waiter/ bartender came over and offered us a Togo drink and he said sorry about everything. I really don’t think we will be back
