Our favorite spot was very busy so we tried soto for the first time. The service and the atmosphere are 5 star no doubt but we gave 3star for the food. The presentation are good but the quality is lacking in our opinion. We've visited a few sushi places and eat sushi and sashimi on a regular. Wow another good one is gone. This is not your OG soto anymore. Terrible non authentic food. Pretty sure chef and owners are not fluent in Japanese culinary or culture anymore. They don't even know Agedashi tofu needs grated daikon. R.I.P old Soto. Will not be coming back. Host and bartender/waiter service was good tho.

Better than Uchiko. Mostly authentic. Excellent presentation of dishes. Great sushi.

The two person tables are a bit too close together and can feel intrusive if someone has an intimate date. That's my main complaint and prevented this from being a 5 star experience (for the price point).
