During a trip to Surfside we ate at La Costa and absolutely loved it. I had shrimp tacos which were excellent. Yummy chipotle sauce, crunch cabbage and perfectly fried large shrimp. My husband has a ground beef stuffed chimichanga covered in queso which he love. We went back a second night and he had the same meal, but I tried their seafood enchiladas which were very tasty. My husband and I went to the beach area for our Anniversary!! We stayed in Clute and looked up restaurants. La Costa came up with a high rating. We thought we’d give it a try. Our waitress was wonderful…friendly and tentative to us. We had the fajita combo, which was amazing. We had enough for leftovers the next day (our room had a microwave). Highly recommend this place!!

La Costa Family Tex-Mex & Seafood has a relaxed atmosphere and excellent food. It is usually quieter and faster than other restaurants in the area, and the price point is more than fair. The seafood plates are recommended, and the shrimp is excellent. It is a great off the beaten path for crawfish when they are in season.
The ranchero chicken was one of the best meals in a long time. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and inviting from the moment guests walked through the door. Orders were taken right away, and the waitress was super sweet and helpful. She answered all questions about the menu and made sure everything was needed.
The Shrimp Tacos and Boiled Shrimp were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The seafood menu selection was fantastic. Mixed fajitas and seafood enchiladas stuffed with shrimp and covered with a shrimp sauce were ordered, along with crab meat stuffed jalapenos. The fajitas came yummy and sizzly. The seafood tostadas are recommended. This is a local family-owned restaurant in an unlikely location in Clute on Hwy. 288 right off Hwy. 332 going to Surfside. It has a cabana style vibe. The service was amazing and excellent.
