“Love love love Coldspring Creamery! I’ve actually never been much into ice cream until we came here. Lol! They have the best Blue Bell ice cream flavors and fresh yummy waffle cones that make it the best place to go for desserts ! I actually crave ice cream now.. lol! It’s our family go to on weekends for our little outing all together. Owner is absolutely the most wonderful person ever! So sweet and always has a smile. I hope this business is around for many years since it’s brought a lot of happiness to this little town.”

“Best coffee and customer service! I love the cozy coffee shop feel! It’s where your home meets your favorite coffee shop all in one! There’s different sitting areas inside and outside, including rocking chairs! They offer little games to play, coloring books, and display little items for sale. You can talk and laugh or just stay to yourself and read. I saw all of those things as well as someone working on a laptop. I love that it exists out in this area and you can receive the same excellence in the peaceful woods while avoiding the big city.”

“I noticed a 4.9 Star rating on Google and wife loves shrimp. Food truck always a caution but food in area is weak. Cajun shrimp, catfish, shrimp & crab gumbo, boudin balls and sauces were incredible! When you think best shrimp and catfish ever....run here!!! ALL old family recipes prepared by husband & wife team. Very sweet folks. Fabulous and surprising treat!!”

“Great, place friendly. We have Church all most all day Sundays, new teaching , Spiritual Warfare !!! We have free , (or donate) lunches after church. You can have some beer or drinks during Church, a loving motorcycle friendly bar , kids welcome. No drunkenness & misbehaving allowed here. Pleasant Christian owners.”

“My husband and I had occasion to be in Coldspring a couple weeks ago at lunch time. We visited The Hop and we're impressed to enjoy a delicious, freshly made burger with fries. Definitely not a fast food burger, but large and juicy freshly cooked. And the fries were so crispy and good. Will definitely return if we're in the area.”

“First time to eat here this evening. Was coming home from a long trip. Chose to get the 14oz ribeye (first thing I liked was the choice of 12, 14 and 16 Oz steak depending on your appetite. I miss that from the steak house I had to move away from. The atmosphere was a cozy small town restaurant and the waitstaff was kind, courteous, friendly and very helpful. When my steak arrived, it was flame broiled and cooked to my specifications (medium rare). Kudos to the cook. The only thing I can say that I do not like about this restaurant is it is across the lake (as the crow flies) BUT that will not stop me from making this my destination for steak dinners. Also look forward to their all you can eat fish. I’m sure it will be the same great quality served with a smile. Would definitely recommend and will return. 👍”

“We had a meeting at The Family restaurant and the snacks were fantastic. Really it was more than a snack and it was set up in a way that did not interrupt our meeting. Real home cooking is what you get and super friendly people serving. FYI, the daiquiris were refreshing after the meeting too.”

I usually don’t write reviews, but I felt I had to share this experience. This was my second time stopping at this convenience store while driving from Houston to Tyler, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a convenience store.

We ran into an unexpected mechanical problem with our car and felt completely helpless. That’s when the store manager, Tara, went above and beyond to help us. He put in so much effort and energy to support us, and we were truly grateful for his kindness during such a difficult moment.

Aside from the amazing hospitality, the store itself is outstanding. It’s super clean inside and out, with one of the nicest restrooms I’ve ever seen in a convenience store. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is excellent—I tried the shrimp quesadilla, and it was awesome!

Overall, my experience here is a perfect 10 out of 5. Huge thanks to Tara and his team for their exceptional service and care. Highly recommend stopping here!”
