Very cool bar and grill that has a lot of character. Would be a great place to have a beer and burger. Has some pool tables and lots of old west decor. Really liked all the carving by customers into the wood work, as it gives it a unique look. Not sure if it's encouraged, but maybe bring a jackknife and ask first.. The ice tea was excellent and the burger was good. Very dark inside. Could use the ceiling redone as it's seen better days. Worthing going to just to check...
The Dixie Chicken is a must go-to destination when in College Station. The atmosphere of the bar makes you want to stay for closing! The beers are cold and the custom drinks come out as you wanted. The food is hot and fresh!! The staff is always friendly and helpful if you have any questions. Seating is plentiful, except for those busy game-day times.
Food was average, lacked flavor and overpriced, all teenagers and young adults who definitely appear to work because they have to, as the service was not there. Cashier seemed annoyed because someone was new there and didn’t know what to order nor offered what most people like. All that being said, family friendly, large dining areas, and if I were back in my young adult college years, this is the place to be.
