Freebirds World Burrito

Let me tell you that Texas avenue is peak, there is this manager named Andrew who always loves serving people and brings a good energy to everyone around. I’m always satisfied with this place and the food here always hits the spot plus the deals they bring is something you can’t miss, I will be coming back here daily. Thank you Andrew for making this establishment a welcome environment.

He made my super monster smallish barely bigger than a monster I watched him but other than that I can't complain but that is a legitimate complaint.

I was treated to Freebirds for the first time by my grandson. You have to understand that I do all of my cooking, and eating out is not that often. I eat organic foods, meats, and vegetables, and I love to season them adequately to maximize flavor. I don't eat standard breads or tortillas, but I make my own cauliflower or spinach tortillas. I don't think Freebirds offers any fresh organic entrees. That's my hangup, eating healthy.

They opened at 10:30 but were unable to serve anything before 11. The line still wasn’t set at 10:50 and they said it would be another 10 minutes to finish grilling the meat while they had at least 4 people waiting to order.

The queso was super watery. It was gross and they charged me double because I asked for a large and they said well ma’am that’s our large. They tried to give me a day old chips crushed up and I said I didn’t want those so he wasn’t too happy that he had to go get fresh chips and they had no onions cut up so we couldn’t get fresh onions. Overpriced not happy not the same free birds that we know.

Honestly I went here a couple of times and it was good but don’t bother coming if there is any sort of promotion. They barely put any food in the burritos and it’s so under seasoned on those days. Save your money or go to chipotle instead.

This location and the Katy location are my favorite freebirds to go to. Food is always fresh and tasty, staff is always friendly, store is immaculately clean and line moves quickly. Freebirds has always been my favorite burrito spot and this one is top notch! Shoutout to Chandler, Orlando and Danny for having cool hats today and for being super friendly. Will be back!

Food subpar. Service lacking... One employee, I think the manager, snapped at another employee in front of customer. Very poor

Let me start by saying I hardly ever review unless my experience is hands down great or management should be aware there is an issue. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, especially around Christmas and holidays because I get it, customers can be a “challenging”. We started this order by asking about tortilla options and if they still offered spinach. Got an eye roll and young man said no. You can only get these options… he handed out plate off to next server who asked about beans and meats. Since me and my wife were sharing we looked at each other to see if we agreed, the server asked if we would just decide, then we asked if they had any steak that was cooked more than near raw. “No, the. Meat is cooked a full 2 min per side..(condescending tone) and guess what another eye roll.
Food was great except for the chewy rare steak and the fact they put 3 tins what you want on the tortilla. Service was dismal and should be addressed. We came about a month ago and had same if not worse experience, said it may have been the day or just timing. Second try today will be the last. Which sucks. Have been a dedicated and long time (24+ year) customers.
