The food was authentic. Best to eat here....friendly, great food, outstanding service and very clean environment. There's enough variety for someone new to the food choices. Try the Halo-Halo desert!
Hands down some of the best Filipino food I've found in this area!

My wife and I have been coming here for a while now since moving from Hawaii 4yrs ago. This is the best Filipino restaurant in the BCS area, but it isn’t the best overall in Texas that we’ve had so far. This time around, we ordered the Ilocano Pinakbet, Pancit Bihon, Beef Kare Kare, Garlic Fried Rice, and the Halo Halo for dessert. Beef Kare Kare was flavorful and delicious, but had 2 small pieces of meat and a huge piece of fat. The Pinakbet wasn’t as flavorful as it should’ve been. The bitter melon was undercooked so it was extra bitter and the pumpkin texture was off, like it was ripe and a fresh fruit-like texture instead of a potato-like texture. The Halo Halo was of course awesome. Overall, a little pricey, but portion and quality is pretty decent aside from the Pinakbet lol. Their adobo, sisig, dinaguan usually our favorite.
Staff are very friendly. Our waitress Majoko (I think that was her name) was very friendly and welcoming. Service has a little bit of a wait, but because it’s freshly made. A decent amount of dining tables and the parking lot is a bit tight.

We went in when it was very quiet, but everyone was very sweet and attentive! The food was extremely delicious. Definitely recommend the beef dishes, lumpia, pansit and crispy pork belly. That’s all we tried, but well be back sometime to try more. Give it a shot!!!

I had high expectations for this place because this joint apparently makes great Filipino food and is well-loved by the community. However, after trying out some of their dishes today, I’m quite disappointed. Now, the service was quite good (although I had to tell the lady thrice to cancel an item and add another). We got the lechon kawali, beef tagalog (along with garlic rice), and the pancit bichon for take out, and I was surprised at how expensive the meal was.
For reference, I frequent the other Filipino restaurant in town (RR Pinoy), and it is leagues ahead of this place in terms of food quality, taste, and price. At Kuya, the portion size of the lechon was quite small for the price (especially when compared to RR Pinoy) and it was a bit harder than the lechon at RR Pinoy (maybe over-fried?). The beef tagalog was okay, and the garlic rice was really average (even though they charged a lot for it). It was made mostly with garlic powder, not real garlic. As for the pancit, it was the blandest portion of noodles I’ve ever had. I had asked for all the dishes to be spicy, but the pancit even lacked basic seasoning. It tasted like boiled meat, noodles and veggies. Extremely disappointed with the food, I won’t be back.

Food was amazing. I ordered the lumpia Shanghai, and the beef tappas. Both items tasted great and were delivered in a timely manner. Perfect for a 45 min lunch break

Had some great food at Kuya Walds in College Station. Caldererta, Beefsteak, and lumpia Shanghai are on point what you would get in the Philippines. Very tasty and generous portions!
The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The servers are also friendly and helpful.
If you are in the area pay them a visit!

First time trying Filipino food. Very good spring rolls, and the pancit bihon guisado (stir fried noodle dish) was surprisingly good with comfort-food flavors.

Love this place but they are no longer open on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays so we never get to eat there anymore. I really hope that they extend their hours again soon :(
