Five stars absolutely deserved for La Familia Taqueria in South College Station.

The food here is consistently delicious, fresh, and clearly made with care. Every time I come here, the customer service is excellent, and you can genuinely feel that this is a family-operated place that takes pride in what they do. There is real warmth and joy in the way they treat people.

What really made this visit special was the thoughtful Mother’s Day setup they had near the drink station. They had these beautiful little arrangements where one side of a drink carrier held a mason jar filled with roses like a small bouquet, and the other side was for an iced coffee that customers could personalize themselves. They had coffee set out with different creamers and flavor shots so you could make it exactly how you wanted it. It was such a creative and thoughtful touch.

I was just there picking up takeout with my daughter. They didn’t know anything about our situation, but they encouraged us to make one and take it home. My wife and I just had a new baby, and she loves roses, so being able to bring her a personalized iced coffee and a bouquet during Mother’s Day weekend made it feel unbelievably special for her.

That level of kindness and attention to detail says a lot about the people running this place. Great food is one thing, but genuine hospitality is something special.

I have eaten here many times in their previous location. I drove a little farther to try the new location and was not disappointed. The lunch menu is such a great price (drink included) and the food is hot, delicious and comes out quickly.
They were very busy at 11 am but still very efficient.
I ordered the soft beef tacos lunch with beans and rice.
All was exceptional.
They offer charro beans
also which is what I prefer.
As I was leaving the owner called me by name and thanked me for coming in again. WOW, very impressive she membered my name..

First time trying, and totally worth it. The food is fresh and delicious, the homemade tortillas are amazing, and the staff is great. Very warm welcoming as soon as you walk in, great atmosphere to eat at, and prices are very reasonable. Definitely will be back to try more
