My wife and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary at Saltgrass on August 20, 2025. We drove to College Station from Rockdale and the two are round trip was well worth it. The food was absolutely outstanding. The salads were fresh. The steaks were delicious and cooked exactly as requested. My wife likes her steak well done but not dry and she got exactly what she wanted. I requested my filet be cooked medium with a warm pink center and it was cooked to perfection & tender....
The steaks are truly amazing, the most tender steaks I've ever had. Our server, Draydon, was attentive and awesome. The atmosphere was laid back and casual. Great place to eat a great steak
Ever since Covid this place has gone downhill. The quality of meat is sub par. Ribeyes are the biggest losers. They are paper thin and all fat. The tortilla soup is bland. And this is from trying different Saltgrass in different cities. I miss the good ole days
