The Toasted Yolk

I usually do not leave reviews but felt it necessary after poor dining experience. My husbands cowboy scramble was slop piled up on a dirty plate. My shrimp cilantro salad was wilted and tasted like imported shrimp, I did not finish it. Expensive for quality of food and experience.

Update: Paying $18 for a salad is not a problem, if the quality of the ingredients are worth it. At these prices I expect fresh gulf shrimp and food that is not plated like slop you would feed pigs. Also clean plates that do not look scuffed up and silverware that does not feel greasy. Also I noticed that the eggs are poached in a poaching machine and not by hand which should be the standard.

Minus 1 star just because I wished the food prices weren’t so high for what you pay for.
The food is really good. Portions are pretty large but just make’s me feel a little uncomfortable about paying nearly $20 for avocado toast.
I love a latte and theirs are very strong and has a strong bite to it.

I really wish I would have remembered to take a picture before demolishing my breakfast. But The Toasted Yolk was not a disappointment! We've tried several times, without luck, to get a table on game weekends. But this visit we must have timed it right, as we got right in! The service was on-the-spot and very friendly. Coffee was hot and tasted great. The waitress made a couple suggestions and I landed on the Cowboy Scramble. It was delicious!!! We will be back next year for another game day weekend (or two), and plan to try our luck again!

I am not big on breakfast! But this place ate down! I loved the taste of the pancake. The shrimp and grits is a must try and I loved the egg Benedict! Delicious and definitely will return

We went in Dec 15 for my wife’s birthday breakfast. They were very busy, so we had to wait to get in- understandable. Once seated, we were met with a team of waitstaff that took masterful care of us. Their efforts made my Baby’s birthday special! Thank you guys!

A classic breakfast place in College Station. While it was part of a chain, the food is always good and the service is always extremely friendly, the wait can be a bit of a bother but but it’s worth it.

Incredibly good breakfast tacos and mimosas. The bar had plenty of seating and even though it was crowded on a GameDay it didn't feel cramped. Highly recommend for a good weekend breakfast

This was our first time at Toasted Yolk and I think it may be our new favorite spot. The menu options are great and the food tastes even better. But honestly, our server Lindsay made the whole experience. She was fun, engaging and educated us on the menu.

We had a small sprinkle for my cousin this past weekend, and the manager and staff were wonderful and accommodated our large group. The food came out fast and was very good. Our waitress did a wonderful job too , amazing service!
