Forest Cafe and Bakery is a nice little place, especially for those visiting someone at St. Luke’s Hospital. It offers indoor and outdoor seating, with long lines but short waits for hot and fresh coffee and food. The food is great, with all dishes fresh and full of food, including options like grilled chicken salads, bacon cheeseburger, fries, strawberry banana smoothie, breakfast sandwich, and cup cakes. The most pleasant staff provides excellent customer service and top-tier hospitality, though some have noted fair service or feeling neglected. A great place to catch up with friends or family over a game of checkers after a hearty breakfast, but it is kind of small with max seating for about 6 people, though they have accommodated a party of 8. Definitely a gem on Houston’s north side.
