The birria tacos had really good flavor and the consume was on point. However, my Menudo came spilled from the way it was packaged, and the broth is almost clear. There is no flavor really except for from the honeycomb so the broth was not flavorful…kinda watery. I don’t know if this is the way it’s made or today it was just lacking, but yeah… Well, definitely come back again and try something else because of how good the birria tacos were.
They advertise that they have a bar, but they don't. They have, like, four different types of liquor only. I ordered a clean marg with 1800 (lime, water, agave, 1800). They brought me a premixed marg with a shot of 1800 on the side! I tried to explain that I didn't want a premixed marg, and she got really snappy and said next time you have to pay for it because now I have to throw it away. No wonder they only had 2 patrons. I walked out.
We went for breakfast and it was delicious. Then we went on a Friday evening for dinner and drinks. It was phenomenal. You won’t be disappointed. Drinks are great and strong 💪🏽

El Jalapeño is a great place to eat with good, homemade food and excellent service. The staff is very friendly, fast, and super attentive, greeting you with a smile. The food comes out hot and is delicious, with great flavor and very good portions. Everything is cooked very well. The restaurant is very clean, though it is a little small and can fill up quickly. It has both indoor and outdoor seating and a drive thru.
Specific meals like the birria tacos have really good flavor and the consume is on point. The chicken fried steak covered with enchillada gravy and chedder cheese, rice and beans, and the enchilladas are also good. The hot sauce is really good too. However, some items, like the Menudo, can have a broth that is almost clear, watery, and not flavorful. They also use Velveeta cheese instead of cheddar on some dishes. Despite this, many customers highly recommend it and plan to come back again to try more of the menu.
