We chose this restaurant because it was highly rated and voted one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants on North Padre Island. It's a small venue, and when we visited on a Saturday during the summer, there was only one waitress working. We were seated immediately, which was a nice surprise.

The food was excellent—very authentic and full of flavor. We have absolutely no complaints about the quality of the meal. However, it took about an hour...

3 of us ordered various taco plates. All 3 plates came out cold and the taco shells were tough and dry. Stale tortillas and tortilla chips. Flavors were good but the negatives totally ruined the meal. Just know most tacobplates do not include beans and rice. The price point is high for the quality and quantity.

One cook and one server/host for visit at 6pm.

The food is really good!! I had chicken enchiladas. My son had the steak ranchera which was perfectly spicy. My husband has the burrito which disappeared in a flash. It was all really good!! The place is really small inside so I gave 1 star off for being cramped.
