Update to original review: Our group of 25 had quite a lunch celebration planned, though it didn’t start the way we expected. The night before, Ol’ Steakhouse told us they “don’t take reservations” and to just come in. When we arrived, they refused to seat us because our group was “too big.” Their loss—about $650 worth, to be exact. In hindsight, they actually did us a favor.
We drove over to U&I Restaurant, hoping for the best—and they blew us away. Despite walking in with a party of 25 during a busy lunch, U&I seated us within five minutes. No drama. No eye-rolling. Just warm hospitality and a “we’ve got you” attitude that immediately set the tone for the night.
If you love Ol’ Steakhouse, but they can’t accommodate your party, give U&I a try.
Original review— Ol’ Steakhouse Co delivered a knockout meal. I ordered the grilled pork chop, and it was everything you want from a steakhouse plate—smoky, juicy, and absolutely delicious. The grill flavor came through perfectly without overpowering the meat, and the chop stayed tender and flavorful from first bite to last.
If you’re in Corpus Christi and want a place that knows how to handle the grill, this spot is well worth the stop. I’d order the pork chop again in a heartbeat.

Everything was fantastic. The chicken had so much flavor and wasn't dry or tough. Fried mushrooms were good too. Hot and not greasy. Will definitely be back. This place was CLEAN. And every single staff member was moving. Nobody was standing around or on their phones. All staff was attentive and working.

My wife and I have eaten at Old Steakhouse since they opened and it has always been one of our favorite Restaurants! Last night we took some friends and bragged on the Black and Blue Ribeye….it and the Trail Quail are our favorites! After telling our friends how good the ribeye was, they ordered it, as well! Four ribeyes and all were tough, full of gristle and you could taste the meat tenderizer! None of us finished our steak! Not sure what’s going on as this is the first time our meals weren’t “Top Notch”! Hope they get it figured out! This has been a Great Restaurant!

The grilled pork chops and so awesome. Along with a baked potato. Man it's the best. The potato soup is delicious. Washed it down with an iced cold coke. Who could ask for more? They also have some mouth watering deserts.

BEWARE!!! I’ve been going to this place monthly for years, great food and service from the servers. Have never seen or met the owner, well we finally did, she was rude, we asked to be seated elsewhere due to be very close to the back kitchen door, which was extremely loud and busy bodies, she told us no, guess she forgot that customers are there to relax and eat. We had just sat down and decided to leave after her rude encounter, we did leave a tip for the nice waiter. Won’t be going back knowing my money going to that owner.
I see the downfall of a once great steakhouse.Went there for a birthday event awhile back ,burger and steak cooked terrible.Went there today,totally raw steak.Sent back ,came back with another steak, totally raw .Went home and cooked the steak at home.Looks like I'm going back to the Roadhouse.They seriously need to get someone that can cook a steak properly.Come on people! I tipped the waiter good,I know it wasn't his fault.It use to be my favorite steakhouse.Time to move on.(P.S.) At least offer some kind of discount when you destroy a steak twice for a hangry customer :(

When you hear the name, you should know this place is special. The food was absolutely TOP NOTCH good. The Steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. If you want a steak or just amazing food, this is the place to go in Corpus Christi.

My wife and I had lunch at Ol' Steakhouse along with other family members and we just loved it. We were a group of 7 and were seated within 20 minutes. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. He checked on us often and accomodated our needs (wants). The food was excellent. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked (medium rare) and delicious. I loved their seasonings. The baked potato was hot and delicious (not old or dry) and perfectly topped to my liking. I like green beans but I don't tend to love them...well I loved theirs! Also their prices were reasonable. Overall, we were all very satisfied with our dining experience. I would eat there again.
