I am a huge fan of "soul food" if you are looking for homemade country cooking this is the place. Pappy greats you with a huge smile. Then describes all the items on the hot bar making you want to get one of everything. I was craving fried pork chops not on the menu that did not matter to pappy he said give me a minute and I will cook you some!! I did steel a bite of my spouse smothered pork chop (so tender you could eat with a spoon) I will be back here for sure.

Best home cooking in town!! The chef is a veteran and culinary trained, but he gets back to his roots with this amazing food. I'm super picky about mac and cheese and rarely eat it, but it's the best! Everything is AWESOME!! They are only open for lunch only and on Friday nights until 8:00. Go once and you will be hooked!!!

Went for the first time last night and OMG it was absolutely the best ever! We had the meatloaf and it was to die for! The cornbread muffins were outta this world as were all the sides! Can’t wait to go back! Pappy was an awesome amazing person and so kind and we just fell in love! My grandson loved the cornbread muffins so much he had to wait to tell him how awesome they were he ate two and would have had many more had we let him!

Come for the catfish, stay for Pappy G! This catfish is amazing. It was gone before I thought to take a picture. The catfish is tender, juicy, flaky and the crispy, crunchy, just-right-salty cornmeal crust is delicious! Fried chicken, so juicy fall off the bone perfection. BBQ pork is lusciously fatty and....yum! Pappy has fresh side dishes for days. Something different all the time. Winner, winner catfish dinner!
