I had high hopes the chicken was small pieces it was overcooked and bland. The rice was so gross it tastes like Surfin crab nothing wrong with Surfin crab but didn’t wanna taste that in my chicken. I like the one on Ruth better

Food was not good at all. Got the Mini tacos and no flavor. Looked like meat had been sitting there not fresh. Tortillas were blah. Beans had not been cooked through. Spent $40 for a messed up order. Got charged more for queso even though they didn’t have any or put any on it. Lady at the window seemed to not know what she was doing.

The chicken is grilled perfectly. The beans and rice are so good.
The price is a good value for the food that you get.

Parking: Limited parking with one entrance only.
There is plenty of street parking.

Wellll what can I say , I cheated on Pollo Gavilan 🤭🙈 , I won't do that again... I'll just wait until Pollo Gavilan opens up to buy my Asada chicken lol... the atmosphere reminded me of my kid days when we went to go visit family in laredo. But the flavor of the chicken doesn't taste as if it was made on a bar b que pit. The fajitas were not Asadas enough of that makes sense 🙈. Flavor wasn't the same, and corn cup was super cold 😑 wouldn't recommend especially if it's your first time wanting some asada chicken just go to Pollo Gavilan now that's some tasty chicken

Food is good.My big issue is they are adamn chicken place, but can't butcher a damn chicken! I hate biting into a piece and getting either small choke hazard bones or a mouth full of cartilage! That just ruins my experience. I know any of y'all that eat their food, have done the same.

We ordered guacamole Asada Tacos oh my goodness they were absolutely delicious!!

Good afternoon, I just went to Pollo La Frontera and it was very good. I recommend it and the service was perfect. I would go again every day as long as it is possible for me.

The pieces of chicken have gotten real small, which leads me to believe that they buy the smallest chickens available so they can mark it up unlike the other grilled chicken place further down on Ruth Street that their pieces of chicken are a whole lot bigger for the same price that they sell theirs for I don’t know if people haven’t noticed that but if you go to the other chicken place, you will see a big difference on Ruth Street

I really liked this place, food is made fresh to order. I wouldn’t recommend dining in, but they do not skim at all! You will be full and pleased! Excellent chicken and fresh!

I needed a bite while I was here on business. I will be back!

This place gave my family terrible service!! We were hungry and decided that some pollo asado sounded good. When we got there the lady working didn’t sound very happy to attend us and was giving bad attitude towards us. The chicken itself didn’t have much flavor but, wasn’t terrible. Initially we didn’t get any plates, so we asked for 6 plates and only got three!! Why ask how many we need if you’re not going to give them all to us!! I was not happy with my time here. Please do better and treat your customers with better respect.
