First time visiting excellent restaurant service was great. Food was great and the view was great. Highly recommend.
Ambiance and service were top tier! Food and drinks were great too. Will be back when in town.
Nunca defrauda ir a este restaurante la comida siempre esta buena no importa que ordenes y los cocteles deliciosos y refrescantes
Had 7:30 reservations for our anniversary and didn't leave until after 9:30. The food took so long to come even when I said they could cook my steak in the faster butterfly method. It seemed they cooked things out of order since a couple who were seated after we ordered got there food first. We asked multiple times as to when the food would arrive and was either told it'll be soon or that they would check and come back to give us an update which they never did then.
Once they brought the food over an hour later I asked for steak sauce which they never brought. Luckily the steak was cooked well. There was no apology for the delay until we addressed it with the waitress when they asked if we wanted dessert. By this point we really didn't since we had waited so long and we're just tired of sitting at our table. But the other table had their dessert comped for the food being delayed, so I'd hope that that might be the case for us too. We ordered the cheesecake which again took a while to come because they added in two more desserts that were comped but by this point it's almost 9:30 so they just need to get rid of their desserts for the day.
Including the hostess. There were four different people that either brought the food or cleared dishes and such. Definitely would have appreciated some of those people to be in the kitchen actually cooking.
Was very disappointed since this was supposed to be a special meal for our anniversary and it was just overall frustrating. Will not be back and will not recommend.

NIk is hands down the best server! Food was fantastic. Took his time to explain the menu and items and even got us access to the balcony view after some other rude worker there a female ( shouldve got her name ) said no to us. She also interrupted us while we were ordering and told nik he was needed somewhere else as if we weren’t important
Nik apologized and took care of us very well! Thank you so much nik for being a hardworker and really paying attention to us even with all the distractions and horribly mannered co workers! EVERYONE ASK FOR NIK ( btw we had crabcake, the steak for 2 and i even got a complimentary desert for my Bday )
3 stars because our food was great. Service was very slow. We had late (9pm) reservations and were seated at the lower level on a folding table although there were other open tables. The entertainment was horrific. Bless her heart but the sound of cats fighting would have been an improvement. The drinks at the restaurant on the second floor were way better. The scenery would have been nice had the windows not been completely fogged. Will not return.
The food was excellent. The atmosphere upscale Texas with a beautiful view. My martini was customized. I loved the food and experience.
First time coming here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and it was totally worth it! Great food and service- sat at table 61 and it had the great views of the city and the marina/bay. Our server, Nik, was the best- very attentive and sweet. Could not have had a better anniversary dinner! Will be coming back in the future!

I had high expectations, especially when reading the rather strict dress code (which was not enforced). Unfortunately I was disappointed. We began with drinks from the bar, which were very good and the bartender was very friendly. We were seated in the upper level and unfortunately, our waitress had tables downstairs as well. She was great when we saw her, but it was very sparse. I thought it was ironic that we were told they were out of scallops, oysters and the tuna- meanwhile we're seated with ocean/bay views. The other staff was hit or miss as well. We had dirty plates at our table for quite some time and our water glasses were empty. The manager sheepishly walked over to ask how our meal was and never even noticed. My husband ordered the filet which he was very happy with. I ordered the redfish and it was so overcooked, toward the tailend it was like jerky. I asked for additional beurre blanc sauce to try and remedy the dish but it was immediately soaked up. We wanted to order dessert but we waited so long to place the order we decided we would be better off foregoing dessert. On a positive note the crab cake was very good and the hatch Mac and cheese was very nice.

1st time, absolutely fantastic. Chris T was great.
It was our 15th anniversary. We enjoyed everything. Chris T, our waitress was fabulous. Definitely will return.
We got there. Let me ask if it was possible to move Joe table with a direct view of the Bay at first. We were told they cannot do that.Because it's assigned by the days that it was booked. However, there are hostess was very exceptional, and found a way to make it happened by fiancé, ordered the lobster and it was the best meal she's ever had. We weren't wanting dessert, but the waitress suggested the chocolate moose and it was also exceptional. Just the right consistency light. But also very delicious.Overall.If there was a twelve, we'd give it a twelve. We've been there before. This was the best that it has ever been
This was my fourth visit to this restaurant, and I find myself increasingly unimpressed each time. The food is merely average, and considering the prices, I know I can and have enjoyed much better meals at several other places in town. The portion sizes relative to the cost definitely leave much to be desired.
While the view is lovely, that’s only if you manage to secure a table with a sightline. Otherwise, it feels unwelcome to wander around the restaurant for photo opportunities against the backdrop.
On this occasion, I made a reservation for my brother’s birthday dinner, as he was visiting from Florida. Our reservation was for 7:45 PM, but we ran ten minutes late. I called ahead to confirm that our table would still be available, and the manager (an older lady with blonde hair) reassured me it was fine since they were running behind as well.
Upon our arrival, we checked in but were asked to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. Once at our table, we ordered drinks and children’s meals right away. Fortunately, we did, as by 11:30 PM, we still hadn’t received our food. Remaining calm, I asked the waitress to pack our meals to go, as the kids were becoming restless. She was very apologetic and I assured her that this wouldn’t affect her tip or my review, and I appreciated her kindness.
Ten minutes later, our food arrived at the table, but it was unboxed and delivered by another waitress. Confused, I clarified that we had requested our meals to go. She again apologized and went to fetch our original waitress. The waitress then asked if we had spoken to the manager yet. I replied no, as I hadn’t requested to do so.
Despite my request for our food to be boxed up, the same manager from earlier approached our table and began to address the situation. She acknowledged that our food was late but suggested that our late arrival had backed up the kitchen, causing the delay. I was taken aback, was she really blaming our ten-minute tardiness? The same ten minutes I had confirmed with her earlier, which she assured me would work out fine?
I pointed out her inconsistency, reminding her that I hadn’t asked to speak to the manager out of frustration; I was only trying to resolve the issue peacefully. I advised her that next time, it might be better to take accountability or simply remain silent, as even the uninformed appear wise when they don’t speak.
Ultimately, she walked away and graciously removed our appetizers from the bill.

First time at the Republic of Texas. Our server, Nik, was friendly, attentive and helpful. We chose the bone-in ribeye for two that came with garlic potatoes, asparagus, carrots, and mushrooms. We split a wedge salad and enjoyed the fresh complimentary parmesan bread. Everything was outstanding. The view of the water and sunset was beautiful. Finished dinner with a slice of key lime pie. Excellent!
