The drinks were great, the food very good. The only problem, too many steps for older folks! We had to use the service elevator to get down to our table! Beautiful views made up for the inconvenience.

Reservation at 8. Was seated at 815. Front ladies had no care for customers and chatted to themselves loudly. Got seated at 1 of many already empty tables. Waited over an hour for our food. The food was greasy and small tiny portions. Au gratin potatoes were burnt on top and under done inside. Waste of money to come here and it'll be a large amount you waste.

We were there to celebrate our anniversary. I had requested a table by the window so we could see the bay. We were seated near the window, but not with an unobstructed view. The window table was reserved for a proposal that didn't happen. I also verified they had gluten free items on the menu. I was disappointed that it was just the mundane. Steak, grilled chicken, grilled fish and of course the plain veggies. As someone that is spending 50 plus per plate I don't want something I can cook at home. My husband go the pork chop and it was wonderful. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about gluten free and also conferred with the chef. The ambience was nice and Kevin was phenomenal. Not sure that I will return unless they improve the menu.

We hadn't been to Republic in a while. It's taken a major hit. Cold food, poorly seasoned steaks and poor food presentation. The food took forever to come out and it was cold. There's no excuse for that. Appetizer plates not removed before entrees served is unacceptable. The views are amazing but honestly, I don't think we will go back at that price point for mediocre food.

It was a great atmosphere! “Jesus” I feel bad forgot his name but that was a nickname he was amazing! He was the head/Trainee server. He made our anniversary night special thank you!

Had a mixed experience with the food here. The main thing that disappointed me was the 12oz ribeye. It was far thinner than one would expect, which was probably part of the reason it came out medium instead of medium rare. The char (or crust) was disappointing--more grey than brown. The bison, on the other hand, was extraordinarily tasty. Quite thick and perfectly charred, it was little on the rare side of medium rare, but we enjoyed it thoroughly. The brussels sprouts were tough and had much less flavor than one would expect given that they were cooked with pork belly. The potatoes au gratin were workmanlike, and the caprese salad (beefsteak tomatoes with mozzarella and basil pesto) was refreshing--quality tomatoes and mozz, good balance of flavors and textures. The escargot was amazing--a little smoky, just the right balance of bite/tenderness, and presented in just the right amount of garlic butter. Wine was reasonably priced and served at the perfect temperature. Top marks to the professional service--Chris and Yasmine provided the exact right level of attentiveness, appearing at precisely the right time, every time. This is a 3-star review, but don't get me wrong--this was a nice meal in a very nice place. But for the price, I would expect a more consistently high level of quality across all the dishes.

We had a wonderful experience at the Republic for Father's Day. Great place and great service. The steak could have been better quality, the filet was thin like a ribeye not like they show on the website. But, overall I would recommend the steakhouse for the views and service.

We had the best dinner at Republic of Texas. Ken and Faith were so attentive tonight. They brought out extra bread and drinks for the kids. They both made our dinner experience amazing tonight. They both went above and beyond to make sure our food and service was top notch! Thank you to both!

The food was really good. Yes, it’s pricey, but everything was cooked to perfection and the service was too-notch.

We had Nick as our server and he was great. He knew the menu really well and was really friendly and nice.

We had the diver scallops, the oysters, the bison ribeye, lamb, hatch mac and cheese, bread pudding and chocolate cake. I would not order the scallops again as they were billed as golf ball sized and the largest you can really get, but you can purchase the same size or larger from HEB for much less money. They were cooked beautifully but the bacon on them overpowered the gentle flavor of the scallop. Overall, while tasty, they were not with the price. We’ll try the crab cakes or crab fondue next time.

The bison ribeye with bone marrow was cooked perfectly and deliciously rich. The lamb was tender and the sauce was beautiful. The hatch Mac used enough for four, and is creamy with the perfect amount of hatch pepper flavor. The desserts were tasty and should not be missed.

Oh, and the fresh bread at the start of the meal was tasty with the table butter at perfect room temperature to be spreadable and had just the right amount of chunky salt on it.

Aside from the escargot (which should be removed from the menu as it was amongst the worst I've ever had) this place was one AMAZING experience. We had the venison, fillet mignon, crab cake and sides of potatoes au gratin, and macaroni and all were PERFECT. Waiter was AMAZING, drinks were GREAT, and of course the ambience. We can't wait to go back.

Second time here. Love everything about this place. Food was spectacular, servers do an excellent job, and the atmosphere makes it all a great place.

Views were great, only outmatched by the service. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and guided us to a great meal. I enjoyed the whole experience.

God awful service. If you wanna wait forever for anything this is the place. Very slow, and very under staffed

We've, now, been in Corpus Christi for a little over 2 months. Each new place we eat at, I keep saying is my new favorite. But I tell you, this place exceeds all!!! The food was divinely delicious and the drinks were devilously devine! Wes, our waiter, was great and made sure I didn't mess up my order with the bison. Our hostess was really sweet as well. The bartenders knew what they were doing and didn't make me feel rushed trying to order from there novel of a menu! And the quail legs!!! The quail legs will forever live rent free in my head!
