Made a trip from Cibolo, TX for a short vacay at Cinnamon Shores and anticipating our bi-yearly trip to Scuttlebutts. Sadden to see it closed. We'll be ready to come back if/when it opens!

Scuttlebutt's Seafood Bar & Grill was a treasure in Corpus Christi. From the moment you stepped in, the inviting ambiance and tantalizing aroma of fresh seafood greeted you. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. It's truly saddening to bid farewell to such a gem. Scuttlebutt's, you will be sorely missed. 5 stars for an unforgettable dining experience.

My girlfriend and I came to stay by the beach in East Corpus and we had asked for recommendations on where to eat in the area. We expected this place to be a lot better, but they really dropped the ball. The food itself was great, but I'm pretty sure our server forgot to put in half of our order because half of our meal came out within 10 minutes and the rest an HOUR later. That is unacceptable. Also the live music was too loud and I kept thinking to myself "When is this going to end??" Well it ended an hour later when we finally got our food. Actually another twenty minutes after that that we sat twiddling our thumbs just waiting for our check. I even went out to my car while my gf waited at the table for a bit and I came back in and we were still waiting awhile. It wasn't even that busy. It was a Monday evening and they were probably at 40% occupancy. I just can't really recommend this place. It was alright, but I wouldn't want to ever come back. Corpus has plenty of good seafood spots.

First time eating here. This is the place to go for perfectly cooked fresh seafood in the area. Our order was taken quickly while delicious seasoned saltines were placed on the table. Our friends rave about the oysters, and they even have half-price oysters for happy hour! I asked for a special order (Mahi Mahi cooked like their fresh tuna on the menu w asparagus and Fiesta rice). They cooked it perfectly, and the flavor was amazing. I have no complaints except they up-charged me twice. Will definitely return.

First our waiter Thomas was super patient and knowledgeable of the menu.Second the food and drinks were delicious! Clean restaurant and just a relaxed place.Highly recommend the happy hour!

We went for their Valentine Dinner Special and it was exceptional!!! The fillet and lobster tail were outstanding. Actually all of the courses were very good. Talked with Chef Sam and you could tell he took pride in his food products that were coming out of his kitchen. I would definitely go back.

OH MANN!! This place was AMAZING!!Chef Sam personally wished me a happy birthday and made it an even better night!! The food was awesomeee, the drinks were AMAZINGGG, and don’t even get me started on the Crème Brûlée!!! First time i’ve ever had it, there’s no words to describe how it just melted in my mouth!!??I can not wait to come back! Thank you again to Chef Sam ( I wish we would have gotten a picture!) and to our awesome server LuLu❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Update: 6 months later we visited again. (Added photos)Live music was great and not as loud as the last time we visited. TVs all around. Still lively. The food was still tasty. Tried some other options this time. Took a risk and tried the Elvis Presley burger and it did not disappoint. I would recommend giving it a try. It's not as peanut buttery as you would assume and it doesn't taste sweet. Tastes flavorful with a hint of sweetness. Doesn't taste like bananas either... You just got to try it! Onion rings were good. A very light tempura batter. My 12-year-old loved the shrimp scampi.We ordered the escargot app. You get five of them. The butter garlic sauce is great but the addition of puff pastry on top of each one was unnecessary in my opinion. I actually think it took away from the flavor and the texture that I'm used to with snails.6 months previous visit review:Great service & fun (loud) atmosphere. Don't expect the steak to be thick and juicy... It's a seafood joint... But that's what my son wanted to share. The blue cheese dressing tasted like it was made in house and was flavorful, chunky & delicious. The add-on of button mushrooms made the thin steak taste good. Lively place.

Parking: Multiple businesses share the same parking lot. Both times we visited we did not have any problems finding a spot to park at dinner time.

I have enjoyed Skuttlebutts happy hour food and atmosphere many times. However beware of the accuracy of your bill. For the third time this year, the bill did not reflect happy hour pricing. Four oysters orders, three sushi orders, and two escargot orders were priced at full price this afternoon. Only one sushi order was correctly half priced. The previous two times this happened, I caught the error and it was corrected. Today I was with friends and did not check the accuracy of the charges until after I paid and we left. Mistakes happen but three times makes me wonder about whether this is an honest mistake or something else.

Super friendly service. The Happy Hour sushi deal is terrific. Very delicious. Our waitress was very helpful and sweet. When in town, you have to try this restaurant. Our GPS did not get us there as effectively as we would have liked so be prepared to hunt a little bit for it.

Parking: Plenty of parking available. It is located in a large strip mall so there are plenty free parking spaces.
