The ordering system is very organized, but I don't think it's the most efficient. You essentially line up in different lines based on the type of meat you want. I wanted asada and lengua but because the lines were so long, I didn't have time to wait in both lines. I opted for asada and chorizo instead. Food - ordered the asada and chorizo taco. asada was good but the chorizo meat was a little dry for me. the onions on the side were amazing though. Service - everything is made fresh and on the spot, so waits can be long. I went on a thursday night at 10PM and waited almost 30 minutes in line. Ambiance - lots of room, but also lots of people. Comfortable and clean.

Tacos El Gordo had been on my Vegas hit list for a few years but it always seemed like too much work to Uber off strip to get it. I finally got the chance to check it out on my last trip and was glad I tried it, but wasn't super impressed. Maybe my taco standards are too high after living in Texas for nearly a decade, but for the price, they seemed just ok. The only one I really enjoyed was the Al Pastor. The Lengua and Carne Asada weren't anything to write home about. Fortunately there was zero wait but I would not say this spot is worth waiting line for. There's too much other epic Vegas food to try!!

My friends all hyped this place up to us coming here. I'm glad we've came! This place is crowded and we were lucky that we've found tables for our party. Ordering is way different to any other place you've probably been to. Like there are several lines for specific types of tacos you're looking for. In my opinion, it's not really efficient for the customer, it felt it was more efficient for the cooks as they had specific stations to serve from. So if you'd want different types of tacos, you may have to stand in different lines and sometimes the wait is like 10-20 minutes long. Then you had to get in a different line to pay for your food. I think the prices were right, and the food was good. Since we were in a group, we took the concept of divide and conquer to get what we all wanted while saving time ordering and standing in line. There is already plans to visit their flagship location in San Diego when the opportunity arises.

I've been to different parts of Mexico and have eaten at local taco stands, so believe me when I tell you that these are EASILY some of the BEST tacos I've ever had!!!! They're super fresh, made with high quality ingredients, bursting with flavor, and prepared with love!! You'll be lucky to not encounter a line but if you do, it doesn't matter because IT'S WORTH THE WAIT!!! MUST TRY IF YOU LOVE AUTHENTIC MEXICAN TACOS Pro tip - it's cafeteria style with different lines for each type of meat so if you're with friends/family, stand in separate lines if you want to try more than one meat. This place is just so overrated, the lines to order are the dumbest idea, you line up by meat order.. so if you want 2 different meats you gotta make 2 lines (so bring a friend) Tacos are about Palm size with onion cilantro salsa and guac for about $4 and change... totally over priced for the amount of nerve meat :( I had asada .. the quesadilla is the same thing as a taco but with melted cheese..for an additional $3 .. not worth it.. I was expecting a big flour tortilla The service, now I'm just speaking on the meat guy I placed my order with.. asks me what I like.. I said 4 asada tacos make 2 of them azteca ( with cactus) I forgot my son wanted 3 tacos so I said I'm sorry can I get one more asada (mind you he still making my food) I didn't think it was in inconvenience, I wasn't sure if he heard me since he didn't give me a gesture of acknowledgment.. while standing there I'm looking at the chorizo contemplating, he's almost done with my order and asks "anything else?" I said you know what go ahead and give me a quesadilla de chorizo, he goes off on me talking about next time place your whole order at once cause it gets busy this this and that.. and he kept rambling.. and I'm just staring at him like wtf? Why you ask me if I wanted anything else then? That's just crazy.. the place was fairly clean.. had ladies constantly cleaning up tables.. any way this place is overrated and I don't understand the hype.. mediocre tacos could of made this at home type of deal.. one and done.. won't be back

We were suggested this place by one of our Uber drivers. Tonight after a long day we decided to stop by. The place was not as busy as we have seen in the past few days (the line was out the door). It is a bit chaotic until you understand the system. There is an older lady who assists with the flow of the lines. Each station has a number. Each number is assigned to a meat (ex: #1 pastor, #2 beef, etc); each meat has (2) numbered stations. Once you find the meat you want there are listings of the types of food (ex: quesadilla, tacos, tostadas , etc). There is a separate line for fries. You get in the line and once it is your turn you place your order but only for that specific meat selection; if you want another food selection you have to move to that numbered line. If you are planning to take it out; advise them and they will wrap your food. After you have made your choices you then pay. The restaurant is loud, busy and a bit chaotic (if you don't understand the system). I found it to be clean and the staff were helpful. There is seating inside. The food is reasonably priced $4.19 (taco), $7 (quesadilla), $4 (tostadas) and $22 (fries w/ meat & toppings). I ordered a pastor tostada and asada quesadilla; both were delicious and simple. I enjoyed every bite. My only complaint is the food is messy so be prepared lol. Overall for a street taco and quick food choice I loved it. Definitely stop by and be patient because the lines do move fast.

Best tacos I've ever had. Just the lines can be long, and it can take a while. For odering, you go to line of meat you want and order there. Absolutely good Mexican food. Highly recommend.

We came here before the rush around 5pm. You walk up to someone at the grill and just order. There really was no line. Then you get your food and company at the cash register. The cooks were not the friendliest and when we asked what something was they just looked at each other and ignored our question, I'm sure there was a language barrier so I didn't mind. Plenty of seats and tables, self serve sauce and drink station. The food was incredible. We got carne asada tacos and tripa vampiro. The best tripa I've ever had. I highly recommend

My goodness! Tacos el gordo was poppin! Super busy even on a tuesday night. I've been to the tacos el gordo in san diego (Best Tacos out there) So i was super hyped to have them again here in vegas. You gotta line up for the type of meats you want and then pay later at the counter then seat yourself. Everyone working there is super nice but they're busy so you gotta comply to the slight rush. I got 10 tacos for myself (it is quite a lot) The tacos consisted of Lengua (beef tongue) Tripa (beef tripe), Cabeza ( Beef head) Adobada ( pork) Chorizo The cabeza and the beef tongue were the most tender. Crazy flavorful and just melted in your mouth when you bit into them. Especially the cabeza! The beef tripe i only order 1 taco of because even though it's super tasty, it's really oily since it's deep fried tripe. Nonetheless soooo good. Have to try once but you have to brace your stomach! Their adobada is a signature! Super smokey, charred, sweet and savory, and they have a special sauce to go with it, it's just a perfect bite. And the chorizo was really good, i was surprised by how amazing it was, smokey and juicy. A little kick to it. One of the better chorizos i've had. Each taco is $4.22-$4.44 each so it's kind of a lot when you compare to other places but the taste and quality of the meats are not skimped on. Tacos el gordo are definitely top 3 taco places outside of south america!

First timer but I'll be back!! Chorizo taco was the best. Was a little confused on how on how to order when I entered but figured you need to stand in line in front of the type of meat you want.

Best tacos on the vegas strip, nothing much to say. I would say the long line could be deceiving but the line moved quick do to the fast and compliant workers. Make sure to check out Tacos El Gordo for the best authentic tacos on the strip.

The prices are ridiculous and just plain price gouging. Today was my last time coming, $27 for 6 tacos is just plain ridiculous.
