No complaints. It was much more of an actual museum than I was expecting. I thought it was just a ship to walk around on (based on the USS Texas). But no, actual themed museum. I always wish I could explore more parts of the actual ship.
Visiting the USS Lexington in Corpus Christi was an unforgettable experience. The ship is massive and full of history, with well-preserved exhibits and interactive sections. One of the highlights was meeting Richard in the engine room he took the time to explain how the carrier operated and shared fascinating personal anecdotes. Talking with him truly brought the ship to life and made the visit even more special. If you're in the area, don’t miss this piece of naval history...
It's really good, but a small carrier. I didn't leave with much information about what this particular shop did... But I saw several planes on the deck.. no clue if those planes ever flew from this ship. They had a VERY large portion of the exhibit dedicated to women in space and military... But it kind of seemed irrelevant mostly .. except that the Lexington was the first us naval ship with any women as crew.
